Hooked On a Feeling

His breath was hot against her cheek. Hot and heavy. Charged particles surrounded them, streaming around like gold star dust.

The lights whirled like a tornado, lifting their pressed bodies up slightly.

Darcy pulled back and looked up into his green eyes – “What are you doing?

“Merging, now shhh mortal and enjoy it”

Darcy threw her head back with a loud snort of laughter. Slapping the bar she downed the shot in front of her and let Bucky pull her to the karaoke machine.

“When we’re all alone….” Bucky pulled her into dancing with him in front of the crowd.

God this boy was full of surprises!

“I’m hooked on a feeling”

Singing and laughing together, a moment so special, so needed. She reached up and caught him in a kiss, one she wished would last much longer than the song.

Loki ran his long slender fingers across her perfect soft skin. Her back arched as a smooth rumble came from her throat.

Not quite awake yet, his mortal girl. Out of all of the Midgardians she was by far the most interesting. Not only gifted with that skin, but her mouth, her sass, it was all good.

If I continue to do this, he thought, he was going to be well and truly hooked on her.

I have a witch!darcy AU and a regency MCU AU and I am stuck on what to draw next in tune with those AUs like I need more than Darcy playing lights with her fingers I need mmaaaoooorrrrrr. The 23rd annual Symposium of Astronomical Research is underway in Washington, DC and for Dr. Loki Laufeyson it’s yet another dreary stepping-stone on his path to academic greatness.  

Up-and-coming research assistant Darcy Lewis has been invited to attend, along with her mentor and friend Jane Foster.  While Darcy doesn’t have much of a sense of self-preservation, she’s protective of Jane and absolutely hates Jane’s nemesis, Dr. Laufeyson, by reputation alone.  

What starts off as a chance encounter between the keynote speaker and the research assistant quickly escalates from frosty hostility into a story of finding one’s own path by believing in yourself – and the power of second impressions.

Do you have any headcannons for a Loki and Darcy friendship? (:

So sorry for the late reply, my ask box is like the portal to Narnia sometimes and things just get lost. (Meaning I saw it but wanted to think about it, then it got buried, then I forgot to come back to it. >_<) 

Anyway, I actually really love the potential that exists for a Loki and Darcy friendship, even though I haven’t had the opportunity to explore it in fic (yet?). I love Darcy, period. She’s the embodiment of all of us, in that she has little to do with building space bridges and gods falling from the sky and infinity stones, she just wants her six damn college credits and would rather not die to get them. But she finds herself in the midst of all this weirdness and she just goes with it. She makes sure everyone knows how weird she thinks it is, but she’s right there in the middle of it, helping where she can, helping with what she understands, picking up the slack where no one else might think to (like, I saw a post yesterday where it’s a deleted scene from Thor 1 and as everyone is panicking about the Destroyer, Darcy’s running around saving puppies who are otherwise forgotten). 

So then I imagine this quirky little elfin embodiment of Nerds Like Us, and I picture her with Loki, and I feel like it would just be the best friendship ever. Like us, Darcy would get Loki. She’d notice when he felt overshadowed or left out by Thor, and maybe go out of her way to sit with him or share her popcorn with him or ask him about things. She’d invite him (just him! Not him and Thor) to marathon bad reality TV like Bridezillas and make him margaritas and insist that he just has to try her special homemade cheese salsa. She’d ask him about his magic and want him to show her tricks and she’d be really, super impressed with it and not hide or tone down how enthusiastic her response is (”because magic is, like, the coolest thing ever, oh my god, can you teach me? Who needs college when I can be a sorcerer?”). 

And Loki would find her kind of strange and off-putting at first, but he’d humor her because he doesn’t have anything better to do, and he finds himself warming to her. He finds himself confiding in her, and looking forward to their reality TV dates, and he agrees to show her a few parlor tricks because she’s the first one who’s ever asked him to teach them magic and he can’t bring himself to say no. And over time, they just become best friends and are kind of inseparable and it’s just so pure.

I’m trying to find a fic I started reading a month or two ago. It started out with Darcy and Natasha Romanoff talking about who in the Avengers would be the best in bed, and Natasha ultimately suggests Loki

so eventually, Darcy and Loki make a bet, that each of them will, on separate occasions, get each other off. Then he shows her just how good he is at getting her off. It left off there, and I can’t find it.

any help, please???
