Indulge in the perfect blend of peanut butter and chocolate with these delicious scones. The peanut butter glaze adds an extra layer of flavor that will satisfy your sweet cravings.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1/2 cup peanut butter. 1/2 cup chocolate chips. 1/2 cup milk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 1 large egg. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: Preheat your oven to 375F 190C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. In a separate bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. Gently fold in the chocolate chips. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and shape it into a 1-inch thick circle. Use a knife to cut the circle into 8 equal wedges. Place the scones on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the scones are golden brown and cooked through. While the scones are baking, prepare the peanut butter glaze. Mix together 1/4 cup of peanut butter with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of milk until you have a smooth glaze. Once the scones are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Drizzle the peanut butter glaze over the warm scones. Serve and enjoy!
