Fresh sushi-grade fish, crisp cucumber, and creamy avocado come together in this grand sushi roll to make a wonderful mix of tastes and textures. This dish is perfect for sushi fans who want something tasty and impressive.
Ingredients: 2 cups sushi rice. 4 nori seaweed sheets. 1/2 lb fresh sushi-grade fish such as tuna or salmon. 1 cucumber, julienned. 1 avocado, sliced. Soy sauce, for dipping. Pickled ginger, for serving. Wasabi, for serving.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the sushi rice, then let it cool. On a bamboo sushi mat, put a sheet of nori. Cover the nori sheet with a thin layer of sushi rice, leaving about an inch of space at the top. Put cucumber strips, avocado slices, and sushi-grade fish in the middle of the rice. Carefully use the bamboo mat to roll the sushi into a log by gently pressing down on it. With a sharp knife, cut the sushi roll into small pieces that are easy to eat. Soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi should be served with it.
