Eli’s Chenuh has a funny accent - flawed, inelegant - maybe that’s why Tasvi doesn’t mind it so much, it reminds her of herself: her own clumsy attempts at piloting, the whispers behind her back.
There is a box wrapped in a bright red handkerchief resting over Eli’s knees, and Tasvi’s poorly hidden curiosity makes him smile.
