TAWWAKKUL IN ALLAH
Salam, brothers and sisters.
Take all precautions to keep yourselves saved and families, from this coronavirus.
“Tawwakkul in Allah” means...
First, you do everything you have to do, then, you put your complete trust in Allah.
Don’t be negligent and said it’s up to Allah. No!
First, you locked your doors, then you tawwakkul in Allah (SwT). Preparing ourselves depend on us not on Allah (Azza wa Jalla). You don’t go look for trouble then claim it was decreed for you.
Even Prophet Muhammad (saws) tied up Buraq to the wall at masjid Aqsa in Isra wal Miraj journey. He didn’t just left the horse or whatever Buraq is to let him wander around. He tie him up. And he (saws) himself took all the precautions with Aboubacar (ra) when going to Madeenah in Hijra. First, he (saws) took all the necessary precautions then put his complete trust in Allah (Almighty) on the way to Madeenah. Aboubacar was so worried looking around back and forth. But, Muhammad (saws) just kept reading reciting his Qur’Ân not looking around at all worried. Because he knows he did all that he could do.
The same thing for us with this pandemic. We take all necessary precautions and then we put our complete trust in Allah (SwT).
فَاِذَا عَزَمۡتَ فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى اللّٰهِؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الۡمُتَوَكِّلِيۡنَ
Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).
A reminder to myself first and foremost.
