Hand in for our manifesto is tomorrow and I wanted to present my personal manifesto in a way that showed off the content. As I talk about my creativity and love for all things design, I knew I wanted it to speak up and tell people thats who I am.
I had it in my head that I wanted to use an old book. I wanted it to look standard from the outside, just like me, and then full of colour and information on the inside, "don't judge a book by it's cover" was my quote for inspiration.
Firstly I had to cut out a section from each half of the book so that I could use dimensional pieces and it still shut fine. This took a while as I had to use a rotary cutter to cut out each page. I then superglued it all together and coffee stained it lightly to make it look old/vintage. I used a selection of different pens, stickers, adhesives, images, cards and embellishments to make it look how I wanted on the inside.
I'm extremely happy with how it turned out, and although it isn't made on my Mac, using software and digital images, I think it really suits the content of my manifesto.
