If we were having tea I'd tell you that I disliked Katniss as a person when I first read the hunger games as a teenager, it irritated me how she would doubt herself so much, how she would over think a thousand times about a certain decision she was supposed to make even if it was a small one. She thought too much about others and I thought that was toxic. It still remains so. I'd tell you that when I reread what Katniss had to say in my twenties, I understood her better, I related to her more. It was then that it struck me that she was just a young girl who was made to take tough decisions & even if the teenager me would've not thought twice about it if I was in her place I'd agree that I had been plain stupid to do so. I'd tell you that maybe the reason I always loved Katniss Everdeen despite her seeming like an irritating person was because I somewhere knew that what she was doing was right if not noble.
