Sorry I hadn't seen this ask! She's a writer for WetPaint...I didn't know about her until recently but she's awesome. She totally calls both shows out on their crap but she does it in a subtle way with some shade so it's always entertaining. Plus, she always sneaks in Caroline/Klaroline references so it's great :)

So this just came out "According to E! Online, Season 2 will introduce Kaleb, “a paranormal psychologist, who (surprise, surprise!) is not a fan of the Mikaelson family." and the first thing I thought was you because I think they'll pair Camille with him, leading your theory that Caroline will only crossover to TO when she's paired up to unroll. What are your thoughts on it?

I think Camille will definitely live if they are adding this guy to the mix. Too bad because who cares about any of the secondary characters on TO other than Josh and Davina? No one. I’m sure he’ll be used to make Camille have a storyline/cause conflict with her narrowminded and naive perspectives on psychology — just HUMAN psychology, nevermind supernatural psych.

I wonder if he’ll be a vampire or something, someone from the 1800s who has studied his species for centuries. I used to always say it would be so cool if they made Stefan (who wanted to be a doctor) study supernatural medicine and become a sort of supernatural “doctor” over the centuries. But that would be giving Stefan a storyline so, lol.

Either way, I have no idea what the purpose of going with the psychology angle is on this show. It’s really .. on-the-nose and kind of embarrassing. Yes. These creatures are complicated and ruined and interesting— but let the AUDIENCE be their psychologists, let the AUDIENCE try to figure them out, don’t spoon feed the viewers with the melodramatic nonsense meant to engender pity for the repulsive characters.

Either that or Camille will die and this guy will replace her. Fingers crossed.
