How would you define your personal style?
My personal style is still coming together. I can be extremely muted in my color and style choices but then I can also go all out with something funky and statement making. It all depends on my mood. I just know comfort is my main focus. I hate to be in something that is too tight or just plain uncomfortable, it irritates me. Lol.
Do you follow fashion trends or do you create your own styles?
Ehh, I’d say both play major role in my wardrobe. I love following trends honestly because I change my mind on what I like so much and I like to experiment and try new things. I tend to go with trends that are within my limits, though. Considering I’m a broke college student, I don’t have the luxury of following every trend that I may want, leaving me to become more experimental with the “nontrendy” pieces I do have.
Are there any colors that you won't wear, and if so why?
I used to stay away from green. I hated the color on anything I saw, not just clothing. However, I recently started being more acceptable to the color and received great feedback.
Were you always into fashion or did your fashion sense develop over time?
I would have to say both on this, as well. I was always interested in fashion, as I am now. I just never really dressed as such. Like I stated before, I like to be comfortable… fashionable and comfortable don’t always mix. Once I got to college, though, I attempted to “dress up” more.
How do your daily activities impact what you wear?
I’m in school for 9 months out of the year in hot and muggy Savannah, Ga. This plays a major role in my wardrobe choices. I try to keep my Cs in mind… cool, chic, and comfy. I have to stay cool in the lovely (sarcasm) Savannah heat, chic as a fashion student, and comfy, well you should know that by now.
Who are your favorite designers?
I don’t wear too many designer clothes, possibly because I can’t afford them just yet on my own and I don’t like to ask for too much from my parents. There are too many designers that stand out to me but Ralph Rucci, Ellie Saab, and Dominique Auxilly are just a few.

Do you look for critique or are you confident in your style choices?
Criticism, whether positive or negative, doesn’t determine my confidence in my style choices. If I like it, I will wear it. However, there are times when I’ll ask a friend or sibling for their input on an item or the cohesiveness of a look.
Do you participate in fashion around your area?
When I am home, I do. During breaks I attend and contribute to certain fashion shows and shoots. I have worked the backstage of many shows here in Chicago and my pieces have been fortunate enough to grace a few runways. I also do styling for photo and video shoots for local music artists and socialites.
What is your greatest fashion pet peeve?
Ill-fitting clothing and kitten heels are my biggest fashion pet peeves. Nothing annoys me most than to see a banging, or even worse a horrible, outfit that doesn’t fit properly. As for kitten heels, seriously if you’re going to wear a heel, wear a heel.
What is your favorite style trend today?
My favorite trend, right now, is a great platform wedge. I am a shoe FANATIC! I love that wedges have become extremely acceptable because they are much easier to walk in than you standard stiletto. They come in heights that are sky high and moderately comfortable, which make for great versatility.
What's your blog inspiration?
I am inspired to blog, honestly, because this is my journey into the fashion world on my own terms. I’m not being told censored by some editor or something to that nature. I can post what I want and when I want. The freedom of blogging is what I love most.
What's something you need right now?
A brightly colored bag, preferably orange or pink
Two blazers… a bright one and a neutral one

How has your experience been so far being one of the contributors to this blog?
I love it! I get to combine two things I really enjoy, fashion and writing. What could be better?!
What other features do you think would be ideal for this blog?
I’d hope to add a men’s section soon.
Who is you style icon?
Yves Saint Laurent and Josephine Baker are my style icons. They both were well before their times taking huge fashion risks by breaking every “rule and boundary” there was in women’s fashion.
Last words, comments, advice?
This isn't fashion related but, sometimes you may doubt yourself. It's just a part of life, we can't deny that. No matter what, though, never ever give up on your dreams or goals. Make plans and stick to it or do better. Just never become totally discouraged to the point where you want to give up. Quitters never win, and winners never quit for good.
