They would've read this very sentence hundreds of times before you even finished. Being friends with a speedster was not for the faint of heart. But your empath friend wanted you to meet so here you were. It's been a few months and you two have hit it off- did you know that a speedster with ADHD getting the zoomies is downright terrifying?
"Hey um, so I messed up- I know you said no ice cream after 8 pm but-"
"They gave you puppy eyes and now they're bouncing off the walls?" the empath finished.
To be honest it wasn't quite your fault. You swore you saw a dollop of ice cream in the corner of their mouth when they first asked; but it was gone in a blink of an eye. And now they're speaking so fast you could hardly understand them.
("Did you know cows have best friends? They also have accents depending on where they're from. Somewhere out there is a british cow all posh, sipping tea and going moo hahahaha")
By the time you actually processed what was said, you were met with a gust of air.
"So what do I do?" you ask exasperated.
"Um I usually just wait it out or you know..."
Oh... T-that. The thing that you kinda sorta liked. Their knowing chuckle rang in your ear before they hung up. The real trick is finding a way to umm... do the thing to someone who can run a marathon under 20 nanoseconds.
"I have a fun fact for you-"
The whirlwind pauses curiously.
"But it requires a demonstration" you add, directing them to lay on the couch.
They quirk an eyebrow when you straddle their waist.
"Did you know humans sometimes have 25 ribs"
You're met with a very unimpressed look. Did you really think they would-
"25? Don't you mean 23?" they chide, speaking slower to emphasize that they are sassing you.
Huh. Guess it would work out after all. With a smirk, you bring your fingers to their ribs.
A giggle. You had barely moved but they seemed to have processed what you were about to do. You won't have long till-
"Are you trying to tickle me?" they manage to say through titters.
You're doomed.
By the time your eyes adjusted, you found yourself beneath them.
"I can't believe you tried to tickle me" they say with feigned annoyance, mischief oozing from their very being.
The anticipation is unbearingly slow. That jerk you call friend is doing it on purpose. A poke, of course, is all it took to get a giggle drawn out of you. With a shit eating grin plastered on their face, they continue poking. Try as you may but they're always one step ahead. You cover your sides, they poke your tummy. You cover your tummy, they poke your ribs and you get the idea. Lightly, methodically, fast. A surge of ticklishness fills your core as you feel hundreds of pokes in the span of seconds. Your brain couldn't process it all, just screaming that it tickles. And it tickles bad.
"Ohohoh you are stupid ticklish huh? Nice."
They seemed to have stopped as soon as they started, eyeing you with sheer amusement. They hold up their hands, and in an instant you pick up on each finger vibrating. Slowly, again, with the dumb leisurely pace, they lowed their hands, hovering over your ribs. A chuckle snaps you out of your daze. They're toying with you and you hate it. You definitely hate it. (/s)
A screech breeches your lips as the vibrations seem to tickle your ribs from the inside. You're not sure you've felt this kind of ticklishness in your life. Your back arches, your arms desperately clamber down to your sides, trapping yourself with the organic vibrating flesh mittens. Light, fluttering shockwaves ripple against your sensitive skin, causing you to curl up into yourself. Soon, two gentle arms wrap around you in an affectionate embrace.
"You good?"
Face flushed, hair a mess, tears streaked with mirth. No, you were most certainly not okay. You could have died. Tickled within an inch of your life. Were you going to think of this moment for a long time? Absolutely! But not because you enjoyed it! No, definitely not! (I am lying)
You eventually reply with a nod and a muttered "you suck".
Rule #359 speedsters will always have the last laugh.
Those loving arms holding you soon transform to one evil arm holding you hostage and the other eviler arm vibrating against your lower back.
I’ve been trying to figure out a story for a Traveling Circus!Sun/Moon x Y/N Au. So far I’ve only come up with a rough idea…Y/N joins the Fazbear Circus as a acrobat in training and general handyman, after finding a flyer hanging in town. They decide to leave their solemn life to travel the world and begin a new life. Y/N always loved the circus since they were little, it would be exciting to get to learn and experience it first hand. They soon meet the Fazbear animatronics, all having their own unique talents and personalities . Y/N helps around the circus, assisting animatronics with practice and maintenance, while training with Sun and Moon to be their new partner in the more experimental and dangerous aerial tricks. (More danger, more exciting for the audience). However, Sun/moon struggle to help you due to past trauma of their previous partner, who fell to their death during a performance. Feeling like it was their fault, Sun/Moon are cautious with getting close to you, not wanting to lose another loved one. Through time and working together Y/N and the boys become closer anyway and inner turmoil ensues.
"You wake up and there is nothing but darkness and the taste of sea salt and iron in your mouth. You can't bring yourself to open your eyes yet, you're too tired for that. You can hear the ocean crashing nearby, and what you can manage is a groan as you try to turn your head away. Rocks and gravel dig into your skin, and you become numbly aware of the fact you must be injured with how every attempted movement hurts.
You drift into the darker black of sleep eventually, your mind engulfed by it."
The start of my Twisted City AU fic - I plan on delving into mystery and horror here, with callings from lovecraftian and eldritch things, mixed in with a world that still has magic but isn't as safe to sling spells in. Main storylines will be in Yuu's POV.
A couple of things I've been considering now that I have officially decided to revive [To Catch an Unsub].
I was mid-way through this WIP when I just up and quit writing with no warning in 2015. I have always felt bad about not finishing it because the last published chapter was a huge cliff-hanger.
This has been the main fic I have gotten comments on over the seven years I was retired from writing, mostly with 'I'd love if you ever came back to this'. When I started writing again in July, I thought about TCAU and where I left it, but TCAU focuses on original cases, and I knew I didn't want to write case-fic now. But I think I have come up with a happy compromise to at least offer an ending.
Mostly, I'm happy to finally get to finish this for the readers AND for myself.
It fucking cracks me up to think that Friday morning, the year 2022, hundreds of people got emails from either AO3 or FFnet saying the equivalent of 'This fucking story from 2015 that you totally forgot about, has a new update!?'
I am trying to be gentle on myself with this one, my writing style and quality has improved so much since 2015. I'm currently working through the originally published chapters, editing and tweaking things. I'm about halfway through that process, THEN I get to start writing NEW chapters. Wwweeeeeeeeee
