how often does the child cry?
depends on who. noah probably cries more, for whatever reason, than melody. she cried though too, of course, but noah was more colicy than his sister

he wasn’t someone who usually got angry, surprisingly. he got frustrated, a lot, but not usually angry. he didn’t know how he did it, but it kept him out of fighting with people for the most part. kept his relationships with people in a good place. he kept calm the best that he possibly could.
until right now. until this moment, him and gabriella yelling at each other ( yelling ! them ! ) so much, a fight that got so bad that his roomate at some point managed to escape the room when they came in. at some point he didn’t even know what he was mad about, what he was even saying. he was just shaking and yelling and he felt like he couldn’t even hear anything. he just saw red.
but then the air in room seemed to change a little, and it hit him like a truck. there was still anger between them, you could slice the tension with a knife, but it was quiet. he took a deep breath, and he could see was the look on gabriella’s face. he stared at her, and he realized what had just happened. what, in his moment of anger, he had said to her.
i hate you.
but he didn’t mean that. he didn’t hate her. how could he ? he was, almost hopelessly, in love with her. she was his girl. she was his future. and he was just —
mad.
she wasn’t even looking at him. he took a few steps toward her, opening his mouth to say something, watching as she stumbled to the door, but only slumped against it, repeating his words as she finally looked at him. troy swallowed hard, letting the fact that those words really did come out of his mouth sink in, and he walked to her again.
