some more details abt the university au because I’m currently waiting for my transport to my uni lmao

- wilbur wears makeup sometimes. niki taught him and let him borrow makeup, and they do it together a fair amount. wilbur had wanted to try makeup for a while, but he didn’t really have anyone to help him with it until he met and became friends with niki

- the entire friend group paints each other’s nails sometimes. it becomes a more frequent bonding activity later on

- dream and wilbur meet during dream’s first semester of uni because they share a history class (fulfilling basic credit requirements)

- dream really really dislikes wilbur at first and swears he wants nothing to do with him

- (as infuriating as dream finds wilbur, there’s also a pull to him, so dream never ends up switching seats)

- techno and niki meet in a club, and it turns out niki also lives in the same building and on the same floor as dream & techno, so they become fast friends

- niki also shares a class with wilbur, and this means wilbur gets drawn into this group (to dream’s dismay). wilbur is really outgoing and friendly and charming, so niki and techno are pretty fond of him. (but techno is willing to tell wilbur to piss off if dream ever gets uncomfortable)

- after the whole panic attack phone call fiasco during winter break, dream & wilbur become much closer, and that’s when the group really starts becoming a friend group rather than friends and acquaintances sometimes hanging out

- tommy and tubbo are teens going to a local high school and love terrorizing uni students but especially wilbur

- tommy used to know wilbur before tommy’s family moved to the us from the uk, so tommy immediately decided the brunet would be the number one victim of him and tubbo lmao

- at some point techno and niki leave the club they met in and just form their own book club consisting of the two of them, ranboo (a high schooler), and phil (a grad student)

- at uni dream discovers they’re non-binary and later on starts using he/they pronouns :3

I’m calling it the tdcc au because two door cinema club is a big motivator for this au lol

anyway, during dream’s first year he went home to florida for christmas break, but during his second year things were kinda tense with his family and atp wilbur, niki, techno, and dream were all living together, so they just spent the holidays and nye together

this is no way affected dream team’s dynamic :)

(playing with ages in this au, but sapnap & george are dream’s age which means they’re still in high school during dream’s first two years of uni, and that change already shifts their dynamic. and then sapnap and george start dating whilst dream’s at uni and the change is a lot for dream to deal with and things get tense for a while.. happy ending though I promise)
