Tour de Fracne 2019 & 2021 🤍 Jout White edition
Rider tdf 2019
A 22 year old has just won the tour de France, it’s been 110 years since anyone even younger than him has won a grand tour. It makes him the 3th youngest grand tour winner in history. The last time was in 1909 and the guy was only 10 days younger than Bernal is now. Why isn’t anyone hyping this up?
k i know tumblr doesn’t care about pro cycling but in the 3 years I’ve been watching the Tour de France this is hands down the wildest one I’ve ever seen
It’s such a small detail, but the socks with the yellow bands are so clever. This way Ineos (sky) shows to the world how far they’ve come, but also this way each rider gets praised individualy for the offers he has made. It’s not just the win of the leader, it’s everyone’s win and it really creats a team
Found the real Hero of this tour
I don’t think you can get how emotional and what an anticlimax yesterday’s stage was if you aren’t a cycling fan. After 18 days of racing, finally there was an attack of a potential tour winner that looked as if it would carry to the line.
First the attack of Egan Bernal, rolling up every single one of the best climbers in the world. The dare that he has to do a thing like that after yesterday when his own teammate brought back the whole bunch because G. was afraid that he wouldn’t be the leader anymore. Laurens De Plus dragging the favourits up that mountain. Alaphilippe cracking during the queen stage while everyone thought he wouldn’t crack anymore.
It was such a beautiful stage already, but the race stopping was the biggest anticlimax there was. Of course I agree with the decision taken by the Jury, but there was so much yet to come. There were 3 groups each 1 minute apart going down that descend. What would’ve happend between Yates and Bernal? Would Thomas have attacked again on the last climb or has he finally accepted that Bernal is better than him? Would Allaphilippe get back to the 2nd group and get by or would he have lost even more time? Did this decision take away the first stage win of Bernal or was stopping the time on the last climb a blessing for him?
Yesterday’s events did suddenly made today’s stage the most important one. I really look forward to it, with it’s 60km it’s promised to be a battlefield from start to finish.
