I can't believe that TDIOM is done :( I'm so sad. IDK if you'll ever do drabbles or something for this verse, but if not, do you see Kurt and Blaine getting married and stuff, b/c I so totally do. This verse has been amazing and thank you for bringing it to us you wonderful person :) <3

But please don’t be sad! I’m sad enough for both of us, trust me ;). But their story has been told and their ending is happy, and while everyone deserves their own happy ending (especially Kurt and Blaine because let’s be real, their love is what legend is made of), happy endings are notoriously boring. Which means that for me, unfortunately, there is nothing left to tell…
So I won’t be drabbling away in the dark, I don’t think, but if you (or anyone else) want to prompt me in this verse, go ahead and I’ll be happy to comply! Because yes, I do have a whole headcanon about their future, and yes, I absolutely do see them getting married. As far as kids go, though -WARNING: unpopular opinion ahead!- I don’t think they’d have any of their own. At first they just don’t have the time; Kurt’s working long, irregular hours as a freelance designer, and Blaine’s working at a shelter for homeless teens - it’s simply something neither of them miss. Blaine does sometimes brings home some of the teens he works with, though. Just once in a while, and only when the shelter is full, but Kurt finds that he quite likes the extra company. One in particular, a skinny 15-year-old named Scott, who got kicked out of his house when his mom found out he was on drugs and had since given up the fight against both his addiction and the HIV he’d contracted through contaminated needles, grows on them and becomes a semi-regular guest, and then a regular one, until Kurt and Blaine decide to permanently take him in. He will be their first foster child.

I just sent off (what should be) the last version of the last two tdiom chapters, so if any of you still follow that - it is *actually* coming soon for reals this time...

I think I finally finished the last chapter of TDIOM? I wrote like 1500 words today and edited about as much, and I think that's it... I want to to post the epilogue together with it, though, so I think I might do that tomorrow... and then I'll send it off for reviewing and with a bit of luck by the end of this month it'll be up?
It's weird though, I'm not even sure they are IC anymore cause I've been away from them for so long... but yay, I guess?
Now all that's left to do is to decide: to go out or not to go out tonight?
hey. i was following TDIOM over a year ago and was constantly checking for updates until there weren't any updates after ch 24. and then i just stopped checking tumblr all together, until this past weekend. i stumbled back onto your beautiful story and read nearly the whole thing again, until i realized either i have completely missed the last chapter and epilogue or they were never posted. if i missed them, can you repost? if you never finished it, do you plan on finishing, or why not? thx <3

The story is not abandoned, and I wish I could say that life got in the way of me writing the remaining two chapters, but the truth is I just can’t get the words out. I am working on it still, though, bits and pieces at the time, and I really hope to get it out soon (although I’ve noticed ‘soon’ with me is a relative thing). So no, you haven’t missed anything, and they’re definitely to come!
