🌋 - how bad is their temper? is it a slow boil or an instant explosion?

OOOHHHG. OKAY. so for most of Richards life he's kind of had a temper. not much, he was never ever REALLY ANGRY, but always just frustrated. mad at anything he could be mad about. the fact that he works at a corner store does not help.

when he and denice got together she did try to help Richard and even get him into therapy (tho rich didn't think this was nessecary) but plans would always fall through. he was just kind of. prescribed antidepressants and then was left alone after that. they did work! they work. those work

on the day that rogue finds his way into the store Richard works at he had run out by then and hadn't been able to take his meds. so he's just like "ugh. um. ok. there's a kid running around in the store" and ignores it. like kicks rogue out initially after he tries to steal one of those hot dogs on the rollers.

guuyhh. it's like Richards thing to be a little mad at everything is what I m trying to say. it may seem like he gets mad easily but really it takes a lot to get him actually angry.AND EVEN THEN it's only about really certain things. he wouldn't get mad at rogue they are like 2 years old

OK UM ROCK FACTS/OC POST.

so i have an oc named conglomerate, right? originally named Jason, but goes by conglomerate as an alternative name??? well like my other ocs gneiss and scoria (lump and deceit are their alt names respectively) he is named after a real rock. this is what a real life conglomerate looks like, basically just a bunch of rocks stuck together with smaller sediments like sand or clay. conglomerate is differentiated from another sedimentary rock (breccia) due to conglo having rounded fragments and breccia angular ones.

notably, however, Jason is the only one to actually change his name to that of a rock. gneiss and scoria are the original names of both of the other board members. conglomerate is the only one recognizingly out of order here, and that's where i had this idea.

see, you know how conglomerate (the rock) is known for having particles with rounded edges??? in character design, rounded angles make character look more rounded and friendly, and that's how conglomerate (the character) is mostly seen. not as nice or friendly per se, but he comes off as the most well meaning of the board member s.

that all changes later on though and let me introduce you to another rock. metaconglomerate. the metamorphosed form of conglomerate. (note how gneiss, the most standoffish of the board, is the name of a metamorphic rock. metamorphism occurs after heat and pressure btw.)

so this is metaconglomerate. a conglomerate rock put through hundreds (or maybe thousands) of years of constant and consistent heat and pressure. having to deal with every single petty squabble against his own will would probably take it's toll on a man, wouldn't you think???? he's gotta get eveil at some point.hes gonna lash out maybe. maybe. maybe making an alt metaconglomerate design for him right now
