I was totally looking forward to joining until I spotted how much of a shipper the admin is. Kind of makes me think you're going to be one of those types who ignores plots if you don't like the character.
Whoa there, let’s not fire up the assumption train. I’m really quite miffed with this little accusation; I built this place in terms of plot and graphics and every other sense from the ground up entirely on my own, and have been running it by myself until recently, so let’s get a few things straight here.
As an admin, I’ve made the active, conscious effort to interact with as many characters that come into this roleplay as I can, and if I’ve not spoken IC to any players, that’s probably because I feel I can’t come up with an adequate reply to their starter, or maybe because they haven’t replied to the starters I post. Making roleplays inclusive and making everyone feel relevant and important in the roleplay isn’t always easy, but I do try to connect with every player and character in this group in some way.
If I were a regular player and not an admin, it’s likely I would be extremely guilty of ignoring people — but I am an admin, and that means I’ve had moments where I’ve struggled to personally like the character but also, as an admin, appreciated the dramatic value a character brings to the roleplay. I’m not immune to disliking characters, which is why we have the application set up the way it is. If I see Mary Sues or characters or para samples that I think aren’t up to scratch, then I’ll say so. I’m not going to let people in if I don’t ‘like’ their character and then ignore them when they’re in. Ask the player of our Damien’s character; I heckled her for a good while before I found her bio remotely acceptable.
I got excited when someone applied for Annabeth. Come on, it’s Annabeth. I could be playing Cerberus and I’d still be excited for someone to play Annabeth Chase. I like Percabeth. Sue me. I’m not going to strictly dictate the plots and drama in the roleplay as I see fit. I’ve said it before, but what happens, happens. Natural flow and spontaneity is a key thing in this roleplay group. Is it really fair to judge my intentions and role as an admin based on a few tags?
Of course, you could just be a troll looking to stir up trouble, and I could just be wasting my time trying to explain myself or justify my actions, which I’m in no way obligated to do, but I have put so much time and effort into creating this roleplay and running it; I want the players in this group to have fun and get to know each other and be comfortable here, so when you make accusations about what I do as an admin, you make them look a little bad for actually tolerating any alleged antics of mine.
