Danganronpa Tetro Ultra Violet Chapter 1: Part 14
[Meet the Roommates]
[Day 1, Dining Room, 22:05]
“Why can’t we just figure our rooms out ourselves?” Akiba complained.
“And where is Koyuri?” comes Ogura’s own complaint.
“Because we need to keep a degree of organization and Wada already has a roommate.” Sasaki said, trying her best to maintain a level of calm.
Airi didn’t like how tired she already was. She’d gone looking for caffeine pills in the storage room and medbay while everyone else was getting stuff but couldn’t really find anything. …She hoped the police came in the morning. “We just have to figure out who’s gonna be our sleepover buddy, right?”
“Something like that, yeah!” She felt a little bad, but she wasn’t sure who’d said that. She’d gotten everyone’s names and faces—she just wasn’t looking in the right direction, that’s all! One of the girls, she thinks.
“I don’t understand,” Okazaki said. “Why are Ninomiya and Wada exempt from this meeting?”
“Because they already figured out their rooming situation ahead of time.” Sasaki repeated, sounding even more tired. Poor Sasaki. “Can we please get the other 30 figured out? So we can all sleep?”
Who did Airi want to room with? Who was friendly? And nice. Let’s see… Tsuno, Isono, Sasaki, Yokoi, Watari, Tamba… “Can I room with Denden?” Airi asked, injecting as much cheer and energy as her voice would allow.
“Oh! I’d love to room with you, Chiba!” Denden beamed. Airi beamed back.
“We could room together, if you want?” Yokoi offers Sasaki.
“That would be wonderful, thank you Yokoi.” Sasaki smoothed out her skirt, “That’s three out of sixteen handled. Anyone else?”
Airi poked Hama’s side a little. “Knock that off.”
“I think Mr Hama should pick someone.” She told him quietly. “Before it gets hard to hear again.”
“Fine, whatever. God!” Hama stared at the group—probably figuring out who he’d get along with best, too! “Shishikura. Wanna room with me?”
The boy beamed behind his scarf, grin showing his braces brightly; “Yeah!”
“You and I could room together?” Yokoi offered Sasaki, who nodded pleasantly back.
“I call Takeshi!” Hiroaki said in a rush. “If we’re claiming people, I want him!”
“What?”
Ogura was muttering something to herself before Tsuno leaned over, “Wanna be my roommate, Ogura?”
“You know not what you ask!”
“I dunno, I’m a ‘superhero,’ I think I can handle rooming with a ‘goddess.’”
“Keh. You truly think that you’re worthy. To sleep in my holy temple?!”
“Maybe change the phrasing of that one.” Akiba winced.
Ogura sputtered, “N-Nothing so base, ronin!”
“It’s what it sounds like!”
“Please stay focused on the task at hand! That’s six. Anyone else?”
“Isono,” Isoda said quietly to their fellow musician. “Do you wanna room with me?”
“Oh! Yeah, of course!”
“I’m not sure who to pick,” Harada admits.
“Well, yeah. Anyone who rooms with YOU would have to room with a TIGER.” Watari pointed out.
“Eh, I can handle it.” Akiba shrugged.
“You can?” and “Can you?” came simultaneously from Yokoi and Sasaki.
“Yeah, man.”
“I—fine. 8 left.”
Ouno picked Tamba, Nishiguchi paired with Watari, Kumada with Maekawa, Yanagi hesitantly offered to room with Tsukigata, Okazaki reluctantly paired with Hayashi.
Airi thought Kamimura was going to pick Hasegawa or Tei to be his roomie but… “Yaitabashi, you want to room with me?”
“Uh, yeah. Okay.”
So Dr. Hirose roomed with Hasegawa, and Tei…
“Who’s even left-?” Tei’s eyes flickered across the room, counting to himself softly. “No.”
“Aw, would ya look at that! Aren’t you excited?”
“Please, please, I will take anyone else.”
“Let’s go, bunk buddy!” Ikeda chirped, his cheer coming off more annoying than charming.
“Oh my god.”
“It’s just a room.” Sasaki encouraged. Airi wasn’t sure if she was talking to Tei or Ikeda. “We’ll be out of here by tomorrow anyway.”
“Ohhh my god.”
Airi gave Ikeda and Tei a little smile and the redhead’s eyes flicked away pretty quick. Hm. “This is going to be a blast.”
