It was designed by Carl Crossgrove and Steve Matteson in 1995.
Curlz is one of those fonts that you see over and over again at just about any high school or middle school event. It's one of those horrifying fonts that you expect to see in neon colors on a patterned background advertizing the school dance. Less so as business logos.
