Forever sad that this print got water damaged legit like 11 years ago, and I’ve never been able to replace it because the artist up and vanished from internet existence! 😭
TeaAt2am, I don’t know you, but I hope you’re ok out there somewhere!

A wrong turn, a mysterious maze, and dangerous, sexy strangers. Welcome to the Gauntlet!
We did it! Yaaaay! Thanks for all your help getting us across the finish line, folks!
Let's see if this works...
So we've got an ad running on the great site, Smart Bitches Trashy Books this month, in honor of Gauntlet's conclusion, and since this is the first gif I've ever made, I felt like I needed to share it with all of you! ^_^
It was a valuable learning experience. Thank god for online how-to guides...
(the pan/zoom made the ad too big for SBTB, so their version is static, and therefore not nearly as cool!! Yeah!)
TCAF Weekend!
Because all of the Chromatic Crew except yours truly are at TCAF this weekend, there is no regular update today. We'll be back with new content on May 16th, but in the meantime, Gauntlet chapter 9 is out from behind the paywall, and our subscriber-exclusive podcast is available for you all to enjoy!
For those of you in Toronto, we look forward to seeing you! For those of you not in Toronto, have a lovely weekend!
It's May! Enjoy Sparkler Issue #010
OMG, we got HamletMachine (link nsfw) to do our cover this month! *huff huff* You don't get to enjoy the new chapter of Awake until May 23rd, but in the meantime, we've got all sorts of great stuff for you.
This week we bring you Gauntlet chapter 9:
Clio's may have gotten to a place of relative safety for now, but what will she risk to find the exit to the Gauntlet? (There will be smooching...)
And also this week, for our subscriber exclusive this month, we have our very first staff podcast of the Sparkler team shooting the breeze--we talk about Female Gaze media, how we all got our starts in the industry, what prompted the founding of Sparkler, and how much I (and Becca) love Homestuck.
Hope you enjoy! If so, you'll likely hear more of the same in the future--maybe with a few special guests if we can swing it. ;-) Maybe I'll even get a proper microphone one of these days!
Read all of Gauntlet for free, NOW!
As a reminder, since Gauntlet is coming to its conclusion, this is a great time to check out our first Sparkler-original prose series if you haven't already, or to catch up if you've fallen behind!
To further that end, the entire series is free to read for the next week, so take advantage of this opportunity to see what Clio has been up to during her adventures through this bizarre labyrinth!
I mean, seriously! Check out all these hotties you could be reading about! You don't want to miss this one. ;-)

March-ing forward!
Hi folks! It's Friday (technically), and so it's time for our first March update!
In honor of Gauntlet heading for the home stretch (just a few more chapters to go!), it has an amazing spot on our cover this month, art courtesy Romy-chan, who totally nailed it with this one. You show 'em, Clio!
We had a lot of fun trying to think of a good tag line for this cover as well ("Take a Chance on me?" "No.") I'm really pleased that we managed to come up with something at least sort of classy. Go team!
If you haven't been following Gauntlet up until now, here's your chance to catch up! For the next two weeks ALL CHAPTERS are out from behind the pay-wall, so run don't walk to www.sparklermonthly.com to catch up on what Clio's been up to in this mysterious world where she's found herself trapped.
Our subscriber exclusive for the month is a Storytelling 101 lesson, courtesy of Lianne, our prose chief. Aside from being great advice, it features a completely precious chibi illustration of Sachi from Tokyo Demons, courtesy of rem! Check it out! (Sachi is the cutest, and I swear it's not just my megane fetish talking!)
In other news, you still have until Sunday, March 9th at 11:59 PM EST to submit audio pitches to Becca, and there's a new monthly fan-art challenge up in our forum! Enjoy!
TGIF!
It's Friday, kids, which not only means that it's the start of the weekend (after a week that seemed incredibly short, thanks to a US holiday on Monday, but whatever), but it means that we've got a new update at Sparkler for you all!
Presenting the second part of our Gauntlet double-feature this month, Chapter 7 is now out and available for subscribers!
Clio knows August’s masquerade ball is yet another pleasant diversion, but August promises secrets at the end of the mysterious night...
And our second update for the week is the Tokyo Demons Audio Free Talk! With no pay-wall, you can get some behind-the-scenes details from the cast and crew right here and now!
Also out from behind the pay-wall are Gauntlet chapter 6, Dusk in Kalevia chapter 2, and Dead Endings chapter 3! Enjoy!
