I have a hard time with people who keep score on social situations, like as soon as you decline an invite they’re guilt tripping you about what they’ve done for you lately, or who track your behavior like you’re talking about.

I feel like a lot of the more outgoing types end up dealing with is the fact that everyone suddenly wants you down as their personal motivator or life coach- which i guess the sentiment is sweet but like i am not responsible for you and your interactions??? I am just as capable of wanting down time and me time and i will have those weekends where i want to vanish and not be with a group of people who are incapable of keeping their own social lives and activities in check? idk i uess i am just super angry because like i have been really diligent in keeping my social circles in check and making sure the people around me value me the way i value them but you know, you have the odd jackass slipping through and i a m j u s t t i r e d

There’s always this assumption that if u are engaging people it’s to be the center of attention, and not just genuine interest in people.

it's really fucking annoying because you lose either way like "hey i invited you to this event but you didn't come so things got boring" but if you do come it's like "hey quit being the center of attention??" you expect me to stand around drinking cheap wine and eating your sad version of a cheese platter for 2 hours and expect me to do nothing? something that you organised as a host and you couldn't even get your own people to do?? nah
