Where to Begin.... Again?
So as my previous post stated I am a teacher (this is not a teacher blog). Well...a teacher at heart since I am currently unemployed. I did have 130 kiddos last school year for computers last year. It was great. I learned a lot. I grew a lot.
I really loved cheering them all all year. I minored in counseling and I absolutely love SEL. It’s so great that districts are encouraging it and I hope teachers are open to it, especially now. I’m sad that I won’t be teaching. I found so much hope that I had been missing so much while being with kids and learning along side them.
I learned that K-2 is my sweet spot and I would like a few more years of experience before I tackle the uniqueness of 3rd grade. (They are the middle schoolers of Elementary) I like my babies, I really fell like I can give them a strong foundation to succeed in 3rd and up, but it’ll have to wait cause I don’t have my teaching license in my state. I need to call and see what the requirements are now with the pandemic, but I do need health insurance so I am willing to step away while schools figure out what they are gonna do. It breaks my heart not being there, but I know that I don’t want to risk the love I have for my career on the pressure of others, and plus I’m not eligible so why fight it? I was supposed to start the job hunt this week....but I ended up relaunching this blog instead- and watching a kdrama *sigh*.
I ran a summer program through the school in July and it was so much fun- but it was exhausting and a week staycation just wasn’t enough.
in the mean time come up with at least 3 solid business plans but I have no business experience so we’ll see how it goes, but I gotta start looking and applying. Wish me Luck!
