fifty shades of grey is not a very well written or impressive book but it is really frustrating to be reading all these articles saying "5 things FSoG teaches you" and its like they only read the first 3 chapters. SPOILER ALERT: Christian Grey was a sadist towards women because he was abused by his mother and her boyfriend at a young age. He was taught to cope with that trauma by having BDSM relationships with women where he is dominant and violent with them, however they always give consent and are OKAY with being his "submissive"; a very common thing when people are interested in that sort of lifestyle. As the book progresses, Christian is COMPLETELY changed and no longer desires this sort of violence towards women, only love with Ana. They get married and are happily inlove and Christian changes and learns to handle his pain from his past by communicating with Ana, his newly-found and FIRST love. Literally in every article, the person has obviously not read the book or else they would know that the book does a complete 180 degree turn and turns out to be a modern romance novel with detailed sex scenes, which by the way, are very easy to skim over because they're not that interesting. I'm not defending the book because it's some work of art, but it's just frustrating that all these people are writing reviews and articles when they obviously haven't read it....
