Wrapup for my organic labs this semester!

In the 6th one we looked at the optical activity of chiral molecules, we put a sample of limonene into a polarimeter and I wanted to drink the waste beaker

For our 7th and 8th experiments we separated the components of Panacetin, obtaining sucrose from dissolving everything else in dicholormethane and benzoic acid (it was supposed to be smt else but eh) from a liquid liquid extraction, finally our last component, an unknown, we ran through a rotovap. In the final week we recrystalized the bitch and it was PRETTY, it was phenacetin or smt like thay

A whole semester’s worth of effort is tomorrow and I cannot believe that tomorrow is the day. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. At times I feel calm, cool and collected and other times I feel like my heart is going to rip out of my chest with panic. But mostly excited. Thankful for my wonderful group and all the supportive people in my life who have provided encouragement, positivity when it was difficult to keep my head up, and just simply love.

Teaching Lab // Chody

Melody was excited, and at the same time, she felt intimidated. She remembered not be a good student in the school. Of course she hadn't an easy situation: she was always worried thinking in the money what The Partridge didn't have and she was working all the time. The only good thing for her was arts, but the rest she could consider herself as an average student and nothing more. And Chris is a scientist! She remembered the comparison what she did: he as Tony Stark and she as Pepper Pots, but she was far away to be so intelligent. She took a breathe in the door, dressed only with a jeans and a plain t-shirt and no make up: she was focused in understand, not in see cute. But she was wondering if maybe that was so much for her little brain.
