taking a class about teaching film adaptations and the first book/movie is "where the wild things are" and it is not on any streaming service available for free and the people in my class do not seem to take too kindly to the grey areas of the internet where you can watch anything for free and instead would rather complain about the fact that the movie cannot be streamed anywhere
Tl;dr: Follow logic, or follow my heart?
I'm looking at student teaching options (It's never too early right?) especially the "non-traditional" ones, and it's really testing my maturity and responsibility....
One option would be in a small town just outside of Huston,TX. This district loves my college/our teaching students and if I got into their program I would have an almost guaranteed job offer with a pretty amazing starting salary...
OR
I could student teach in the country I've wanted to live in since like junior year of high school (England), which could give me a slight "in" to living there... but there's no guarantee for a job or the ability to live there....
(Or I can just student teach in my shitty mostly red state, and probably end up in the same small town I grew up in.....but come on....is that even an option?)
(Also I feel like this was going to be mentioned if I didn’t beat someone to the punch.... I know England isn’t perfect, I know they have their issues, but so do we...so does every country, some misconceived lack of them is not why I want to live there...Nor is it some “tea-aboo” shit.)
September 10 2021 | I have roughly 8 weeks of intense studying and working on my thesis left, and I’m trying to remind myself to just do it without thinking too much about it. Anybody else terrible with long-term projects and exams?
On a happy note, meet my new plan! Name suggestions are welcome. (Please ignore the dirty window, blame my dog for always putting his nose against it)
June 29 2021 | I got my first mildliners when I entered University 5 years ago. There are a lot of trends on studyblr I don’t agree with (*cough* muji pens *cough*) but the mildliners are genuinely one of my favorite highlighters/pens. And they are so easily available! A rarity for Japanese products when you live in Germany. So I ordered new ones, yay. What are one of your favorite pens?
May 26 2021 | Working on my master thesis and studying for English literature. I also had to send my brand-new laptop back for repair 😪
