What kind of new festivals come with the snowy expansion pack? Also do they act like the other festivals and will pop up randomly but send a notification to travel there?
There’s 3 new festivals - The Festival of Youth, Light, and Snow! Each one is attached to a specific neighborhood and is scheduled for certain times each week. There’s information boards scattered around the world, which allow you check the festival schedule and get information on what’s going on that day!

Even if you don’t check the information board, the game will let you know when a festival has started.
The Festival of Light is probably my favorite out of the three, but special shout out to the Festival of Snow for having a giant snow sculpture of the best part of this pack - Yamachan!
