Last year, Fai brought a surprise parade of seven (!!!) kittens to my new little house on the Travingo family property. They were babies then, about 2 months old when their mom decided it was time to introduce them to solid food and a human guardian.
As I began the long process of looking after them and trying to win them over, I captured a truly ridiculous amount of photos and videos of them. It was excessive, but also seemed fitting, for the mind-boggling experience of going from taking care of six grown cats in August to THIRTEEN cats and kittens in September.
At 7 months old now, all of the kittens are healthy and happy these days--though a few are still working on fully trusting me. This blog is going to be one of the places where I share updates and photos and coordinate efforts for the Travingo Cats project, while I work on setting up other social media sites and ways people can watch Fai's babies grow up and meet our other catkids (as well as adopted family members like Roger the raccoon).
The grand project feels daunting to my undermedicated brain, though, so I'm starting small and just wanted to introduce you all to the exhausting and glorious kiddos that have kept me so busy offline. I'll dive in further over time to better show them off...cuz seriously, I have so many pictures of each of them, along with stories galore.
In the meantime, here are glamour shots of all the kittens from back in December, in 'degrees of trust' order.
Idris (showing off her whole belly to prove she's my girl)
Rhee (who pretty much always wears that startled expression)
Quinn (the bigger, cuddlier of the 'twins')
Jasper (growing into his elfin face quite nicely)
Teagan (the sweet scaredycat younger twin)
Cas (she looks so much like her mom, it's great)
Blaire (who began as the only one who wouldn't follow Fai in if I made eye contact--last month we learned they're the litter's fourth girl!)
