thoughts on the characterization of captain teague

oh bitch

bearing in mind we get all of about 10 minutes of screentime through awe and ost (as much as that film is. not good) and the fact that keith richards is likely not acting and just rocked up in pirate gear, he's characterised so well ?!?!? like. i cannot put into words but i think that bc we know that jd's portrayal of jack was v much based off of keef and in turn keef's portrayal of teague was based off of jack, his characterisation is rly good

i also just love that he like. is this really enigmatic man w a v high-ranking place in pirate society (society) and you can never quite tell when he's joking, like when he mentions sea turtles brought prison dog back (though from tpof, jack does tell us that he's fairly certain teague just buys the same type of dog and names it the same thing, so it's v likely he's being facetious)

idk i suck at writing character stuff. i just think he's neat that's all
