Day 41 of my 100 Days of National Parks photo series celebrating the #centennial of the @nationalparkservice with this photo of Teakettle Junction in @deathvalleynps One of the things I love about Death Valley is the oddness that you regularly come across when exploring this massive National Park. One of the stranger places is Teakettle Junction, where visitors traditionally hang their used and battered pots and kettles from the sign marking the intersection of two backcountry dirt roads. The kettles are marked with all sorts of messages, from simple hellos to poetic observations and quotes, making it one of the more interesting side stops on the way out to the Racetrack Playa a few miles down the road. #nps100 #findyourpark #deathvalley #teakettlejunction #americansouthwest #tradition #deathvalleynationalpark #racetrackroad #socal #southerncalifornia #mojave #california #weirdcalifornia #backcountry #getoutside #getoutstayout #optoutside #repyourpark #exploreeverything #wanderlust (at Death Valley National Park)
