ok thank you for your defense of hellbent! I love podsa but was feelin a little :/ about listening today, and just had such a nice time listening to them!! I really love that they clearly strive to address their flaws, it's so refreshing. anyway your defense gave me a little 😊 so thanks !
No problem! I am extremely fond of the podsa guys, but some days I can’t bear to hear one more dude’s opinion, you know? And it’s important to have awesome lady pods to feed the soul on days like that.
If you’re looking for another lady pod to try, I recommend Bombshell. Imagine three vodka aunts with 20-year civil service careers in the State Dept./Defense Dept./intelligence services, STRONG opinions on pop culture and deeply nerdy attachments to statistical models. That’s them. This week’s episode, “Day-Drinking Like a Queen,” was not their best, because they were calling in from different time zones/continents. I like the episodes where they’re in the same room together insulting each others’ bourbon choices the most. (Also I wanted a more full-throated excoriation of Trump’s transgender military ban from them, and although they were all against it, there was no ranting, and sometimes I need ranting instead of careful and professional disapproval.) They post every two weeks, and only started in January, so you could begin at the beginning if you wanted!
