The children of Bramblebriar Daycare! 

I think it started off with a convo about who are the adults in each party and who are the children. 

Left → Right: Mirele, Neith, Nergui, Mikyur, Amur, Oka, Adeline, Malli (not part of daycare, she’s just here for a visit and may not ever come back).

Mr. Velis is the manager, Mr. Niyooshan is the nurse, Mr. Kebarong is the cook, Mr. Bronx is the maintenance man, and Miss Elasha is... nobody knows what Miss Elasha does there. She’s just there to spoil the children and occasionally dresses up one or two in branded clothes.

How PF PCs Take Their Coffee

Adeline: Thinks coffee is nasty

Amur: Not allowed caffeine due to possible consequences of heart palpitations and/or panic attacks

Bronx: Black, sometimes spiked with alcohol

Elasha: "Double espresso, hold the foam, actually no double foam, whipped cream, vanilla shot, can you add caramel to the sides? Wait no... okay yeah caramel, 75% sweetness, can you make that Splenda? Okay good. You have soy milk here right? Almond milk? You have both, alright. I'll take regular milk on mine."

Oka Khvalyn: Storm Druid, Gray Corsair, navigator of Chainbreaker.

By the end of Broken Chains, Cragspire - a ship that Oka called home for years - had disappeared, along with its captain Tawejja and most of her crew. Tempered by her experience with the slavery ring and cultists of Lamashtu beneath the City of Katapesh, the fiery half-elf found the resolve to officially joined the Eagle Knights as a Gray Corsair, hoping to one day discover the fate of the crew she considered family, and repay them along the way by fighting on their behalf under the charge of Captain Marissa. 

The campaign actually ended with some very heartwarming moments between the party members. I can’t believe how pro-EK this team is: Bronx was former Golden Legion, Elasha has now joined the Twilight Talons, and Oka is properly one of the Steel Falcon. Oh how they’d clash if they ever meet CSS.

But she kinda has... she was there during the Hearthfire Arc in Augustana. Uhuhu.

Oka Volga Khvalyn

Female | Half-Elf | LN CN | Druid

1. What influenced or inspired the creation of this character? A new campaign, the dice decided that I make a half-elf, the group decided that I make a female, and I decided that I make a Druid. Always wanted to try a Druid that doesn’t depend on summoning, so ended up with a Storm Druid. Too bad the campaign is all underground hahahahahahahaha.

2. What is your character’s relationship with their family? Family is a word which here refers to biological relatives, close companions, and/or the individual(s) who raised them. She never knew her mother, and has very little respect for her since she dumped her on her father and went her own way. She appreciates what her father has tried to do for her, but deeply disapproves of the way he sleeps around and leaves her and her half-siblings to be raised by the community, which in turn has mostly been condescending to her. The crew of the Cragspire is the closest thing to what she regards as a true family. 

3. Who is the closest person to them? Captain Tawejja of Cragspire, who is a standoffish but ultimately compassionate mother figure to her. She also considers Emir, a fellow navigator on the ship to be a good friend. Back in Kyonin, she is close with her younger half-sister Tyosha, who treats her as an equal despite being full-elven, and Salmys, her older half-elven half-brother who led her onto the path of a Druid as her mentor. Her best friend in Kyonin is Ilet, a male elf who had an insatiable interest in the world, people, and cultures beyond the elven nation, who set off as an adventurer shortly before she left home.

4. What were the conditions surrounding their formative years? As a half-elven bastard child of an elven father of substantial status and a mother who essentially abandoned her, she was raised in a safe and secure environment in the forests of Kyonin, though the subtle sentiments of the others (pity at best, contempt at worst) did not go amiss after all these years. Practising magic was a way for her to be on a level playing field with the other druids regardless of blood or birth, and she found no judgement when alone with the natural elements. 

5. What creature would they like to have as a pet? She likes large seabirds and whales (she would never consider keeping them in her residence though; more like she’d like to live with them), though since starting work abroad the Cragspire, she’d also taken a liking to cats for their helpfulness. 

6. Do they have any bad habits? She’s not the most patient person and easily gets snippy with rude people, especially if they break her focus. Also, swearing when stressed. Swearing like the sailor she is. 

7. Is there anyone they’d die for? Kill for?  She’d die and kill for Tyosha, Ilet, and Captain Tawejja. 

8. Who was their first love? Ilet. Neither he nor Oka actually realise this. 

9. How would this character react to someone confessing their love for them? Blush, stammer, verbal diarrhoea, accidentally shapshift into a tiny animal for a getaway. 

10. How old is this character? 30 years old - early 20′s in human age equivalence. 

11. Are they normally peaceful or aggressive? As she would say, “The calm and the storm are two sides of the same coin”.

12. How does this character handle stress? As aforementioned - get snippy with people. Swear. Drink any bad alcohol at hand, at least once all the work is done, if that’s the source of the stress. 

13. Does your character consider themselves lucky? She considers herself neither more nor less lucky than the average person. 

14. What is their favourite holiday? Anything that celebrates the changing of seasons.

15. What is the best gift they could receive? Something magical that would allow her to fly or enhance her swimming abilities.

16. If they could instantly kill one person in the world without consequence, who would it be? Industrial tycoons that exploit and abuse natural resources irresponsibly and for their own greed.

17. If they were in possession of a trio of wishes, what would their three wishes be? To reach the Eye of Abendego, to meet a Great Old One of the seas, and to know all the stellar constellations. 

18. What is their favourite spell or method of attack? Lightning and wind spells of aggressive nature are her favourites, but she uses ice and fire more often, as well as utility spells, since they tend to be more practical. 

19. What are their guilty pleasures? Honey mead. 

20. What is something this character is or could be addicted to? Honey mead. 

21. Have you actually played this character yet? Yes, and continuing to do so!

Oka, my half-elven storm druid navigator whom I finally got to play yesterday! She’s turned out to be more demure and insecure than I’d expected. Also her hair is bigger I DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.
