i just recently deleted @ pmd-rebirth because i just didn’t feel like keeping it much longer especially since i wasn’t doing anything with it for a long time

so here’s some memes i made of my teams that i’m sharing here

How is a normal day in your Gates team, specifically about managing paradise?

oooo, good question

ok, let’s see....it’s interchangeable which one of the two wakes up first, they just kinda do about the same time. sometimes they go into town first for shopping, sometimes they look at the post board first. they mainly leave paradise to the other pokemon when it’s a job day, but at least 3-4 times a week, they go around and inspect paradise and make sure everything is fine

Eli first likes to go to the right of their house, to the area of Paradise with the different seeds and oran berry fields, along with the “Oodles of Orbs” shop. Seeing all the different things growing and flourishing is always a great start to his day. 

He goes to the different fields and asks the pokemon in charge how it’s going. Often they give him the latest harvest and he hands over one seed/berry in return in order for them to replant it and grow even more.

Ryuu likes to check out the shops more, checking out their stock. He also just likes to talk to them in general and make sure things are going well. Sometimes he helps them out if there are problems one way or another, letting Eli and the others know so things could be resolved.

If there are any good items for sale, he excitedly calls Eli over and tells him about it and they make the purchase.

The next area they go to is just beyond their house. There’s a single field here for a seed, and the rest of the space is taken up by shops. Even if Eli doesn’t check all of Paradise every day, he LOVES to go up to Starmie and play their game of collecting the different treasure chests. It’s his favorite place, and Ryuu just chuckles as he watches his friend excitedly shout at Starmie about where to go in order to grab the treasure. The rest of Paradise gets used to it after a while.

There is an area next to this one where it’s still empty. Eli does want to build there, but he also likes that it’s just a plain forest area where a lot of their recruits like to hang out and relax. So he goes back and forth on whether or not to start building there. 

On the other side is an area built up like a rocky mountain, and many of their flying and rock type pokemon like to hang out here. The area is just shops, since the place isn’t exactly built nicely enough for berry/seed fields. Eli likes to go up to the highest point and just look around at Paradise, it’s a good spot for seeing just about everything around.

In the last area there are a couple shops, but also a couple dojos. Eli built them mainly for himself and Ryuu, so they could train a little during their off time. Though it’s been a while since either of them had gone, considering all the adventures they had. But the dojos have been used by their recruits, which makes Eli consider making more for them to use and enjoy.

Eli stands nearby with a clipboard (a proper one he brought in from the human world), looking over his notes for Paradise. Ryuu is busy talking with Gurrdurr about the new field they want to build in one of the areas.

After the build team heads off with the materials, Ryuu steps over to his partner. “Alright, that’s done! And he confirmed that field will take the last available space.” 

Eli nods and writes something down on his paper. “Ok, good. And we already went around to check the shops, everything was good with them.”

“Right! And we got a new orb out of it!” Ryuu says with a grin.

The snivy laughs and looks over his notes, muttering to himself for a few moments. Ryuu lets him, he knows Eli likes to double, sometimes triple check over things to make sure things are going well. He’s so happy Eli is not only good at keeping Paradise running smoothly, but that he enjoys it too. He didn’t want to end up making Paradise and have Eli just be dragged along for the ride. The fact his partner enjoys it so much makes him even more excited about everything they build.

“Ok, everything is good. The shops have good stock, the fields are growing nicely, and everyone is happy.” Eli pats his clipboard and heads inside their house, Ryuu behind him.

The snivy puts away his clipboard by his other belongings and takes a moment to stretch. “I saw a couple new posts on the board earlier, but going through Paradise takes most of the day to do. And we haven’t even built out far enough yet!” 

Ryuu laughs and shakes his head. “Yeah, imagine once we do go out that far? It’d definitely take the whole day to check on everything! Especially with how thorough you are,” he teases.

Eli glared back at him, a vine whipping in his direction but not actually hitting him. “Hey, I just want to make sure things run smoothly, that’s all.”

Ryuu laughs again and Eli joins him. “Come on, let’s go into town. We haven’t checked the shops there yet,” the snivy grabs his bag and heads outside.

After checking out the town and talking to more pokemon, the two go to the top of the hill and relax there. The day passed by so quickly, the sun was starting it’s descent. Eli and Ryuu sat near the edge of the hill, just gazing out into the world in comfortable silence.

Eli thinks back to all the other times they were here, and over their adventures together. So much had happened, and it all seemed so long ago. It felt like he had actually been living here in the pokemon world his whole life, he felt so...he felt like be truly belonged here.

“Eli?”

The snivy flinched and blinked, realizing he had been crying. He quickly rubs his eyes and looks over at the axew, who was giving him a worried look.

“You ok?”

Eli nods and finishes rubbing his face, sighing. “Yeah, sorry. I was just thinking about some stuff.”

He can tell Ryuu wants to ask for more details, but he’s glad his friend doesn’t actually pry. After a bit more time spent watching the sun dip even further down, the two get up and head back home.

I MEAN, in reality they’re all “please don’t” or “i’d die for you first”, but

it was fun to do this and think of their personalities and such lol

whoooo, i made my own edits!....very poor edits, but i really wanted to try putting these together myself lol so from the top! Thesis the torchic is bi, Hydros the totodile is pan, Kimon the gengar is ply, and they are in a polyarmous relationship Venia the pikachu and Dimitra the chikorita are lesbians (yes i tried to edit that picture to make it female pikachu) Eli the snivy is gay, Ryuu the axew is ace/aro Akeno the treecko and Nuru the cyndaquil are gay

Does anyone feel annoyed by their partners' tics or habits? Like, does Nuru chew food too loudly, or does Thesis get picky with toasting berries, things like that?

Thesis has a habit of just tapping one of her claws on the ground when she’s thinking hard about something and it takes Hydros a minute to realize she’s not trying to say something. Hydros on the other hand sometimes spits out water when he sneezes....Thesis finds it absolutely disgusting.

Venia sends out random little sparks when she’s excited about something, and it ends up shocking Dimitra. it’s nothing too strong and being a grass type helps, but Dimitra jumps every time anyway. Dimitra uses her vines for stuff a little TOO much and they get tangled up once in a while, so Venia has to step in and help out.

Eli waves his tail up and down when he’s thinking hard about something, he’s not sure why he does it either. sometimes he sends notes flying around their house by doing that. Ryuu likes to rub his tusks on things, it’s just a natural thing for his species to do, but he sometimes does it against the house when he’s not thinking, so Eli has to keep an eye on him so they don’t have to ask Gurrdurr to do some fixing (again).

Akeno likes to study, looking up anything and everything on the pokemon world, he often gets lost in the books. and loses track of time, so Nuru has to come in to drag him away in the middle of the night to make sure Akeno gets some sleep. Nuru is...loud. he talks loudly, especially when he’s excited, and he even eats loudly. Akeno has to teach him how to have an inside voice, and what helps is when they go through dungeons, Nuru learns that sometimes silence and stealth work better.

Team Cali’s Mesprit Day

Eli first learns about Mesprit Day from Swanna. She asked him if he knew about it or was going to do anything for it, but of course Eli didn't know any details. Swanna explains to him about how it's a day to show friends, family, and loved ones how much you love them and showering them with gratitude. She admits however, that it has been some time since anyone in post town really celebrated the day.

Since mistrust, selfishness and dishonesty became so common over time, along with that barely anyone truly celebrated the day, it being reduced to another day. Eli wanted to change that immediately, and started making plans. It took some time and a lot of sneaking around, but on Mesprit Day, Eli asked the paradise gang to go out and gather everyone into paradise. With everyone gathered, Eli announced that he put together a party for everyone to join in and celebrate the day. He had Swanna, Virizon and Quagsire as his help, but for everyone else it was a surprise. A whole section of paradise was opened up, with a lot of food made mostly out of pecha berries, and fun games for everyone to play. Along with those was a "pool" made that held only heart scales, and pokemon were invited to pick some out to hand out to other pokmon as a gift. During the celebration, Eli took Ryuu aside and gave him a personal gift. It was a rock that was carved and painted to look like a frism (of course it didn't actually work as one). Eli explains that the rock is actually one of the original rocks that were in paradise. When they first really started building, Eli decided to save a few chunks of rock, for sentimental reasons. "I just thought it was something special, to keep something so simple but so meaningful. Gurrdurr helped me shape and paint it, of course." Eli goes quiet for a moment. "I never really told you about what happened when i...when i left. When Hydreigon gave me the frism. i listened to it and i cried, i cried a lot. I remember waking up as a human with tears on my face. I just wished you and everyone else knew that i never WANTED to leave. But i'm so happy to be back here with you, it feels like home." Ryuu gets teary eyed and holds the rock close. "Of course i knew you didn't want to leave! I mean, you heard the message in the frism, so...but still! I didn't care what Hydreigon said, i refused to forget about you. You're my best friend, Eli! You were there for me from the beginning and helped me and helped everyone else. We supported each other, and i'm glad i found you that day. Oh, and...i got something for you too." Ryuu hands over a band, the color of it matching him. Eli takes it and looks over it curiously; it's sturdy and well made. He looks up and sees Ryuu pull out another band, but the green on it matches Eli. Ryuu puts the band on his arm and gestures. "They're friendship bands! i've just...heard some stories that if two pokemon wear these kinds of things, they'll be friends forever. I mean, not like i think we wouldn't be anyway! Just...thought they'd be nice." Eli laughs and twists around and put his band on his tail. "Of course we'll be friends forever! But these are nice too." They laugh together and have one tight hug, and then go back to join everyone else in the party.
