Chaos AU: Fractured Reprise: a series of a pmd inspired story set in the pokemon world about a special soul

Inverse AU: A Partner To Treasure: A human-turned-pokemon wakes up in a pokemon-only world with no memories besides her name and the fact she was a human. Many pokemon in the town are kind to her and offer help, but she has a strange feeling from the start about the very first pokemon she meets.

Shadow AU: Phantom Remnant: A blue-eyed pure ghost type mimikyu wakes up without a disguise or any memories of any kind. Who is he? Where did he come from? What happened to him? He wants to find out the whole truth to his past, but he's also scared of it.

all posts are tagged “art” “gif” “text” “video” along with “funny” “meme”, and then with whatever game they’re about/from, “rescueteam” “explorers” “gti” “psmd”, and “rescueteam dx”

warning! since this is for all of the pokemon mystery dungeon games, there will be spoilers for all of them, but they will be tagged according to each game; “rescueteam spoilers” “explorers spoilers” “gti spoilers” “psmd spoilers”, and “rescueteam dx spoilers”

all hero/partners are tagged by what pokemon they are

i also included their evolutions in that tag, so if you see a hero grovyle tagged as “treecko”, that’s on purpose, to make it easier on myself and others, so i don’t have to tag all the evolutions as well, and there’s no real point anyway

next, any art showing ANY guild members, or ANY of the expedition society are tagged as “guild” or “expedition society”, even if it’s just one or two shown, that’s the tag

same goes for any of the kids & villagers from serene village, tagged “serene village”

any pokemon from gti are tagged as “paradise”

grovyle, primal dialga, dusknoir, celebi and sableye will be tagged as “future crew”

if there’s a LOT of pokemon, expect me to be super lazy and not go tagging all of them…so, sorry. sometimes i’ll tag all the pokemon but not the games they’re from, it depends

“team meanies”, “team skull” and “team charm” are also their own tags

PMD diary entry #1

So I thought I’d share this idea I had for combining the personality quiz while giving the player a choice in what they play as. I was just thinking about it at work while talking PMD to a coworker.

Basically do the quiz as normal and then the quiz master can say something along the lines of “all this based on you and I almost forgot to give you a voice in this! Here, I’ve got a few vessels for you to choose from. Pick one you like the most” and be given (for example) Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, or Squirtle to be. I think it’d result in less people restarting because “ugh I HATE this choice what do you mean I’m this one!?” and more likely to go “oh! This one! This one! I like this one the most of these!” It also works to fit more fun options in so you don’t have to pick and choose which starters make the cut for your game.

Sorry if this idea has been shared before or is well known in PMD rom hacks, I’ll say in my defense on the second one I’ve never played one of those before (really should)

i have a headache right now, so sorry if i'm wrong about this, but

don't super and RTDX do this? there's a quiz and then they give you your result but you have the option to pick something else?

i mean it'd be interesting from a plot point of view that whatever/whoever is bringing a human into the pokemon world would give said human two options like that; one for the answers to the questions and one for just picking from a list

(come to think of it, does gti have a quiz? my brain is not working atm due to this headache lol)

Hi. The anon here. They does sorta have this but with this is less decision paralysis from having Every Choice since it’d only be a few choices instead of all of them.

It’d also make the quiz, to me, not feel as pointless if we could just choose what we wanted regardless at the end. I think having two-to-four choices instead of all of them would be fun instead of either one or all of them.

ah, i see what you mean with that! it would be interesting for there to be an in between like that

that way the quiz is less "pointless" if you could just choose whatever, but you have 2-4 options and not just stuck with 1

GTI has no quiz. It just asks you what you look like. PSMD and RTDX have quizzes but allow you to reject the given Pokemon and choose your own.

that's what i thought! with such a small roster, it makes sense
