Drizzle Prisma — interview for @jackssims’ Maple BC!
1. Introduce yourself! Your name, gender and pronouns, where you’re from, all that good stuff.
My name is Prisma, Drizzle Prisma. It’s wonderful to meet you! Well, I’m not meeting you just yet, but... I’m presuming it’s going to be wonderful, when— if we do meet... ah. [clears throat] I use she/her pronouns. And I actually live in Moonlight Falls as well, funnily enough. I grew up here, but never really... got out. I don’t know a lot of people. As evidenced by the fact that I’m applying for a BC to meet someone who lives in the same town as me. [laughs quietly] Maybe you’ve even walked by my workplace. It’s the, ah, funeral directors right by the graveyard. It’s quite a nice area, actually, if you don’t mind a bit of gloom.
2. Favorite article/type of clothing? Harissa’s fond of sundresses.
I like dresses and skirts and all kinds of formal clothing. Whatever the occasion, even if it is a funeral. I love seeing people make an effort. It’s fascinating to see people in what they perceive as their best, you know?
3. Favorite genre of music? Favorite artist/band?
Usually I listen to classical music, but I’ve been known to sing along to some Morrissey. It’s probably for the best I don’t have any living neighbours. [laughs]
4. Favorite movie/TV show/podcast/etc.? BCs are also acceptable answers.
The Misfits, All About Eve, Some Like It Hot... basically, anything with Marilyn Monroe in it. Is that surprising? [blushes] I’ve never told anyone this, but she’s probably the reason I realised I like women.
5. What’s your favorite hamburger? Harissa’s a big fan of them. But if you don’t eat meat, what’s your favorite meatless dish?
Hmm, a classic cheeseburger will probably do it for me. As long as it’s well-made.
6. What’s your dream vacation?
I may not seem like the type, but I’ve always wanted to visit Bridgeport. Something about the sparkle of the big city lights and the constant buzz of activity is appealing to me! Even though in reality I’d probably spend the entire time freaking out... I don’t really like crowds. [sighs] Moonlight Falls is probably the best place for me, after all.
7. Have you ever committed a crime or any illegal infraction?
No, never. Is that a concern? [nervously] Did any of the other applicants say they have? Oh dear...
8. What are your thoughts on having children?
I would like to, someday. It’s... well, I’ve not given it much thought, really. My parents were a little... distant, you could say. I’d like to think I’d do a better job.
9. Thoughts on a celebrity chef hosting this BC?
It’s wonderful! I can’t believe someone like Heather Matthews is going to be right here in Moonlight Falls! And I must admit I’ve tried out some of her recipes myself.
OOC Question: Any tips for writing your character?
I imagine Drizzle to talk quite formally, but not excessively so. In her interactions with others I reckon she’d be very polite and maybe even a bit aloof, though just because she’s nervous. Honestly just go with however you feel like writing her!
Some people might describe Prisma as cold and unapproachable, but really she’s just not used to socialising—especially with the living. Perhaps being the owner of Prisma Funeral Directors isn’t doing her any favours, or maybe it’s the fact that she’s a born loner. Either way, she’s looking forward (if a little apprehensively) to putting herself out there and getting to know a variety of new people. Especially Harissa. Oh gosh, she’s so nervous.
