Laptop back at it with redrawing old superhero ocs- here’s Team Gamma! They’re part of the same organization as Alpha Strike, but they’re the baby squad so to speak. 

From left to right we have: Fade, Laser, Bloodline, Wraith, and Verdant!

Powers beneath the cut-

Fade: He has the ability to step out of the normal flow of time. He can’t take anyone else with him and it’s difficult to pull anything into that space with him. However this power requires a lot of mental focus- he gets migraines and nosebleeds when using it for extended periods of time.

Laser: Her powers are pretty much exactly as they sound. She can manifest light and repurpose it for destructive capabilities (laser beams ya get it? huh? ok). She’s fast and capable of flight when in Light Mode.

Bloodline: Her powers come from a more magical source than the previous two. She pulls knowledge from her ancestral line and can project spiritual weapons and armor from that knowledge. Depending on how she uses it, she can pull more information or push more energy into making larger and stronger projections.

Wraith: A shadowy boy- he can manipulate and travel via shadows. The darker it is, the stronger he is. 

Verdant: Another magical sourced hero. His powers are a bit odd- he can borrow power from the natural world around him, providing that it’s willing to lend it to him. This can vary from anything like taking on animalistic aspects to shaping stone to awakening a tree to help him.

As the youngest members of the A.R.T, they don’t do a lot of active combat. Fade is the youngest at 17, up to Verdant at 23. Normally, the A.R.T doesn’t take anyone under 18 (Fade was a special case), and they train under the older members before going on larger missions.

One of the very first sketches of Evelyn! The concept of her was older, but this was the first time she had found her way on paper. She is the leader and founder of Team Gamma in Pokémon Mixtape and is cruel and violent to her core.

~** Horns thinks he’s beatboxing to Glitch’s angrily tapping but Callow enlightens him after the magical disney moment of her morse code antics.

    "Whatever you're going to ask, the answer is no."

Glitch had just opened her mouth as she plopped down on Horns’ lap on the couch. The satyr virus didn’t even look up from his book as he moved for her to sit in a better position so he could still read.

    “You don’t even know what I was going to ask!” she pouted.

    Callow, from the kitchen counter where he sat solving a puzzle with Gamma, who idly sipped her tea carefully watching the two for a moment before returning to their puzzle board, chimed in “Do we even have to? Knowing you, it could only be trouble” He teased with a toothy grin.

    “Who’s side are you on?!” Glitch shot him a look over her shoulder, and he stuck his tongue out at her. Gamma glanced up at him, and hid her smile behind her mug of tea as she picked it up to take another sip.

    “Which ever side you are not on” Peony smirked. She sat beside Equo as the virus painted quietly. Her headphones were on so it was doubtful that she was even listening but Glitch stuck her tongue out at the duo.

    Horns rolled his eyes and turned a page in his book, trying to continue reading as the cat virus stretched out in his lap, attempting to take up as much space as possible “Glitch, really? Can you not?”

    She let out a small needy whine as she called him by a nickname. “Milosc!!”

    “Im reading, go bother someone else” He hummed turning a page.

    Gamma idly tapped on her tea mug, her eyes scanned over the puzzle board as she paused and picked up a piece to place it in the sky. She gave a hum on content and Callow glanced over “Good job babe”

    Glitch scoffed rolling her eyes to the two at the table before sitting up and heaving herself upright in a puff, she didn’t glance over to the two at the table as she walked past and sat herself down at the kitchens island bar seats. She drummed her fingers on the countertop, tapping them excessively in annoyance.

    Gamma tapped on her mug, lifting it up to her lips as she tilted her head in Glitch’s direction, the cat in turn stared back, her finger angrily drummed the countertop in response to Gamma’s nails tapping on the mug.

    It was several moments of the two going back in forth in a silent stare-off, the tension in the room festered and Callow was eyeing the two, wondering if he should interfere just as Horns cleared his throat and started making a repetitive sound in his throat. It startled both parties and drew their gaze towards him, before he could stop Glitch raised an eyebrow but started tapping again, a small grin on her face as she caught on to the game.

    Callow’s face contorted in confusion for a moment but he quickly caught onto the rhythm of their noise and joined in patting his hand on his thighs in rhythm and clicking the spoon on the other side of Gamma’s mug.  Peony joined in beat later, dragging the flat edge of her knife along the ridges of the paint can.  Her head bobbed to the beat and Equo pulled down her headphones to listen. She sang a tune to their noise, her voice softly echoed off the walls. In tune, Jolly followed, she started harmonizing with Equo, the two voices danced in the expanse of the room and through the team’s musical notes. Jolly got up and danced in the living room, spinning herself around as she harmonized with Equo, her hips swayed to the teams made up tune and Horns smirked.

    At that time, Sammy and Psi opened the door to the teams apartment and slid in. Sammy’s face lit up and he practically dragged Psi to the living room and into view of the team.

    Sammy grabbed Jollys hands the the too danced around the couch together, Sammy was quick to join into their shenanigans but Psi hung back, leaning against the doorframe taking it all in for the time being. After a few moment he shook his head and asked, interrupting their rhythm “This sounds so foul, what the hell are you guys doing?”

    “Making music?” Horns offered, the team’s antics died down. He cast a glanced over all of them, going back to Psi as he spoke “Music? That was nothing but Glitch cursing and Gamma telling her to shut up.”

    “I don-What?!” Horns turned to Glitch who threw her arms up in a shrug like ‘Idk what you were expecting’, Gamma was frowning and Callow covered his mouth in amusement. “Sorry Horns” He said “Glitch was cursing up a storm and Gamma was trying to get her to stop… but then you started beatboxing and… yeah then we made music out of it.”

    Horns stuttered but Jolly melted into a fit of laughter “Ohmygodreally?!” She fell back on the couch, still holding onto Sammy, who looked just as amused as Callow.

    Glitch softly kicked the floor with her foot, grumbling and Gamma scolded her. Equo plugged her headphones back in, a small smile on her face. Horns still glanced back and forth between Glitch and Psi. “What exactly was she saying?” Sammy leaned over the couch to whisper to him “Naughty naughty things” his face heats up and Glitch let out a shout, “Sammy! I will end you if you dare tell him!” The 99er cracked into a grin “Try me darling!”. She let out a shrill screech and jumped over the couch, Sammy laughed and in an instant was up and running away from her in glee.

    “Tell me!” Horns protested, getting up and watching the two chase each other, he turned to Callow and said “Will you teach me morse? I don’t wanna be out of the loop.”

    “Only if you promise to use your powers for good.” Gamma chimed in. “Unlike a certain someone I know…”

    Callow cracked a grin and shrugged. “Sure, maybe then you’ll understand just how colorful her language is when she's trying to get someone's attention”

   Horns cheeks flushed as it clicked in his head “Oh… Got it.”

   “Yeah” He smirked.

The Usual

    Horns groaned as he left and headed back to the team's room, rubbing his temples as he felt a migraine coming on. Training with Psi today could have gone a lot smoother to say the least, it wasn’t all that bad, they had made some leaway. Horns knew that as he tried to develop his psychic powers there might be repercussions as his body adjusted to the magic influx but he was still unprepared for the migraines that inevitably came after every practice with his mentor.

    He stumbled down the familiar hallway, he could already hearing the sound of his teammates inside. He suppressed an inward groan as he clutched the door handle, momentarily wondering if he should go sleep under a tree rather than in his room, after a moment of thinking which might be quieter and his headache pounding on his skull he pushed open the door and slide into the front entryway. Instantly he was greeted with a sweet smelling cup of soothing tea, a offered pastry, and Jolly's bright grin “Welcome back! How was training with Psi!?”

    He gave her a halfhearted shrug “The usual..” He took the cup gratefully and sipped it as he passed by the kitchen, Callow outstretch his hand and Horns took the book with a small content yet thankful sigh. He made his way to his room and carefully set his tea on the nightstand before flopping down on his bed bed in content.

    Behind him, he heard the door click shut. “You could have at least tried to crawl in bed properly.” Glitch mused in a hushed tone as she rolled Horns over and propped him up on the headboard “The usual” he teased breathlessly, she made sure he was comfortably set up in bed before handing Horns ibuprofen and his tea.

    He gratefully gulped it down and sighed in relief, groping for his book which Glitch pushed into his reach he pulled a pillow to prop up his head as he sat upright in bed. As he turned to the bookmarked page, Glitch slunk down onto the bed and straddled his lap. Her fingers twined in his hair and her lips pressed against his forehead.

    It was such a soothing and familiar action, as Glitch practically melted away the throbbing pain in his head. He laid the book’s spine on her stomach, eyes scanning the page as she calmed him down, drawing his tea closer when he idly reached for it and pressing her soft lips to his temples every couple of minutes.

    Eventually the painkiller kicked in and his tea was finished, Horns could feel his eyelids growing heavy as he turned another page, the fickle fingers still in his hair weren’t helping him stay awake either. As he let out a soft yawn Glitch’s hands disentangled themselves and dragged the book out of his grasp. She pressed a soft kiss to his cheek in his false protest and bookmarked the page for him, setting it out of reach as she slide back to pull a blanket atop both of them, Glitch curling around Horns as he let out another yawn, sleep dragging him away rather fast. Psychic powers might cause migraines but with teammates like his it will always be worth the pain.

“I can hear you thinking from all the way across the house”

Glitch looked up from her tablet, sighing inwardly as Callow picked his wayacross her room to flop down in the bean bag beside her, he left the door openbehind him and let the hallway lights illuminate a corner of her room. “What’sgot those gears turning?”

“Like you even need to guess?”

“Horns?” Cal raised an eyebrow as Glitch threw her device down and fellbackwards, her arms covering up her face. “It’s just… today…”

The gator virus waited patiently as Glitch groped for the right word, hermouth shut and opened several times before in frustration she heaved herselfupwards, tossing her beanbag across the room. “He’s too perfect!”

“I fail to see this as a problem”

“Our date today couldn’t have gone any better!” She flailed her arms as ifthis was something Callow should be frightened of. He wasn’t so she continued.“He was a gentleman the entire freaking time! He held the door open for me,pulled my seat out for me, held my hand in public! He even politely turned downthe barista at the corner tea shop! How am I supposed to keep this up!?”

Callow raised an eyebrow. “I still fail to see why this is so troublesome.”

Glitch pointed accusingly at him. “I’m not good enough for him and you knowit! I have a perfect boyfriend and everything couldn’t be more sun-shine andfucking rainbows! There is no way this is for real. Something bad is going tohappen… He’s… going to get hurt? Or.” She paused trying to contemplatesomething in her head “Or I’ll do something stupid and he’ll break myheart!”

She let out a soft sigh and sunk down beside him “Karma has never letme be this happy Cal… I’m fucking scared what’s next.”

Callow was quiet as Glitch rambled on, she grabbed his wrist, her back tothe door as she spun around to face him “There is no way this is for real Cal.There… There has to be some sort of catch, or like, surprise! It’s like-”

Callow had been rolling his lip in his teeth but finally tugged the blackcat into a tight embrace. “This might be the surprise you weren’t expectingbut… you have an audience.”

Glitch craned her neck around in modest horror, practically jumping out ofher skin as Horns stood in the doorway, a small bouquet of flower in one hand, andhe gave her a slight wave with the other.

“Oh fuck me.” She hissed under her breath.

Callow pushed her away chuckling to himself, allowing Horns closer to theduo so they could embrace. Glitch wrapped her arms around his neck and she felthis free arm around her waist.

"Oh my gods Horns! Don’t scare me like that!”

“Booooo” He grinned down and pressed his lips to her temple, Glitch was hitwith the realization of her last few moments’ conversation and she shakilyasked into his neck “Wait… How much of that did you hear?”

“So, you think I’m actually perfect?”

Callow, as always the voice of reason said “Just this morning you werecrying about snakes and you tripped down the stairs.”

“They don’t have any arms!” Horns blabbed in mortification, that the gatorwould reveal this to Glitch. “And I wasn’t crying! I had dust in my eye! That’swhy I tripped.”

“Sure bud, but truth-be-told, Glitch likes ‘em soft.” He winked as hesashayed out of the room, winking to the duo as he closed the door behindhimself.

The two watched him shut the door and after a moment of silence Glitchgrowled threateningly “I’m going to sow a dick on his hat.”

“That’s not scary”

“Neither are you.”

“Boo?” He grinned and Glitch jabbed her fingers into his sides. Horns letout a peel of laughter “Wait, wait!” He gaped “That’s no fair! You know I’mticklish!”
