summary: Once he gets out and finishes this war, Satoru vows to make up for their lost youth.

Megumi comes to their table with a tray of their drinks and passes the cups of hot choco around before putting down the only one with black coffee for himself. Yuuji is stacking his plate in order of waffles-pancake-waffles with bacon and eggs he’s quickly whipped up in between before drizzling it all in maple syrup and adding fruits on the side. Nobara is beside him making a pretty waffle tower composed of fruits, whipped cream, and some sprinkles. She takes a picture of it to post on Instagram, turning it this way and that for a better and more aesthetic angle, while a strip of bacon hangs on the side of her mouth. Megumi eats his pancakes with just fruits, a side of bacon, and some scrambled eggs Yuuji made for him. They turn to Satoru and make various disgusted (Megumi and Nobara) and curious (Yuuji) faces at the teeth rotting diabetes inducing monstrosity he’s created out of waffles, soaked in syrup, topped with sprinkles and chocolate chips, and an unholy amount of whipped cream. His students dare each other to take a bite each and Satoru laughs at the faces they make. Nobara puts fruits on Satoru’s plate while Megumi puts some bacon and eggs (to balance it all out, they say) andYuuji puts more sprinkles and chocolates because he’s an enabler like that and Satoru loves them all. The Jujutsu Tech dorm’s joint kitchen-dining room is loud and lively on this one Saturday morning. Satoru smiles as he takes a picture of his students eating off of each other’s plates. It would be great if they could stay like this a little longer.
