Midnight “Madds” Maddison [ZSWeber Studios Muses Part 4/?]

Number 4 coming in hot! Today, we’ve got Midnight “Madds” Maddison of @midnight-maddison-isms, the second-year leader of Team MDHS/MDNT (Madhouse/Midnight) and my first attempt at making a character based off of an actual allusion. In this case, my boy Madds is based off of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.

Like Stark, I didn’t do a whole lot of adjustment to his design, as I actually really like how he came out the first time--this was just to redraw him in a fun new style and pose. Still, I did adjust some things, mainly the intensity of his colors. If it seems his sash and scarf clash a bit with the rest of his outfit, there’s good reason for that--they’re actually his younger sister Alyss’, something he wears to keep her close after she passed away. The rest of his outfit is purely aesthetics, the patchwork style a good reflection of his own unpredictability. His weapons are a scissorblade that can divide in two, and his Semblance is called Maddness, which allows him to see his foes worst fears and force them into an illusion that makes those fears a reality.

And, here they are! Team MDNT/MDHS!! Led by Midnight ‘Madds’ Maddison, Team MDHS is responsible for a lot of the chaos that happens around Beacon--or at least, a lot of the chaos not related to Teams RWBY and JNPR.

The platypus is the greatest animal ever. I mean, it's like God shoved a duck, a beaver, a possum, and a scorpion into the divine blender and turned on the 'WTF' setting.

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been gone so long, I’ve been go through a bit of a funk artistically. I just haven’t been myself, really. Which is why I wanted to take a step back and do something to try and re-energize myself. Hence today’s post.

I’ve been meaning to redraw Team MDHS for a while now, and I’m glad I did. Looking back on the original piece, I have come so far from where I once was. I’ve improved in so many ways, and it’s emboldened me to keep moving forward.

Dorian: (bleeding out) It was a funny idea a while ago...

Madds: Here at Team MDHS, we have a few rules.

Madds: Rule No.1: Don't touch the hat.

Madds: Rule No.2: DON'T TOUCH THE HAT!

Madds: Rule No.3: There are no other rules. Just cause as much chaos at Beacon as possible.

Damien: How much chaos does touching the hat cause?

Madds: ...

Damien: ...

How To Get Sebastien To Do Anything You Want

Madds: (leaves a bunch of fabric, thread, leather, needles, and scissors out on the dorm floor)

Madds: Sebastien! Could you clean that up for me?

Sebastien: (frowns) Mr. Maddison, I am not your maid.

Madds: No, you're not.

Madds: But you are simply one hell of a butler.

Sebastien: ...

Madds: ...

Sebastien: ...as you wish, young Master. (bows)
