“Tbh the only times Skinner was robbed of a team spot were 2013 and 2015. In 2013 she should’ve replaced Maroney while in 2015 she should’ve replaced Dowell. I don’t think she was robbed in 2016 at all. 2019 and 2020 is kinda questionable because while I do think that she could’ve contributed to the team more than people like McCallum, Eaker and Chiles there are also other gymnasts who would’ve made more sense than Skinner as well (Hurd and Wong).”

“People all over Twitter are making all sorts of conspiracy theories about how Tom rigged the team selection to favor Myk because she reminds him of the gymnast he used to coach, he hates Brian Carey, etc? Guys he literally just went by AA order it’s not that deep, although I do wish he had communicated that. I’m just as sad as you that Riley fell and wish she could have gotten the individual spot but nothing was rigged against her”

“2016 had a great team (I just wish they weren’t abused. It’s awful what they went through.) every single person made an event final. Laurie-beam Aly-floor Gabby-bars Maddie-bars Simone-vault beam floor. In the 2020 team, although I love all of them, Grace and Jordan didn’t make any finals and I’m really sad about that. It just shows the difference between team selections.”

“Technically, Marta [kinda] did use the Tom Forster method for the team selection in 2016, except it was the top 5 finishers at nationals not trials  *not applying to the alternates of course”
