Some days really remind me why I do what I do.

I’d told myself I was slowing down and getting ready for my trip to India on the 15th — time to rest, pack, and switch off for a bit.

But when the phone rang yesterday, I just couldn’t ignore it.

An elderly customer in Barking Riverside was feeling uneasy about people coming near her front door and looking over garden back door.

You could hear it in her voice — she just wanted to feel safe in her own home.

So this morning, I went out, picked up a Ring doorbell and spotlight camera, and got everything installed for her.

Yes, it was a quick job.

But for her, it meant peace of mind.

Everything’s now set up on her WiFi, she knows how to use it, and she can get alerts straight to her phone if anything happens.

Moments like that matter.

I always try to be honest with my customers too — I let her know she could get better deals on the equipment directly from Amazon, especially around holiday periods.

I’m here to help with the installation and make sure everything works properly, not to overcharge on hardware.

That’s just how I run my business — transparent, fair, and focused on what’s best for the customer.

Now…

I really am going to try and switch off and stop taking on more jobs until I’m back 😅

Another job wrapped up nicely this afternoon ✅

Pole-mounted camera all installed, fully tested, and working exactly as it should — trip lines active, human detection picking up spot on, and the “you are under surveillance” audio doing its job loud and clear 🔊📹

Now, we might not have had Steven Spielberg behind the camera… but our client stepped in and did a brilliant job helping us record the test footage 🎬👏

Just goes to show — you don’t need Hollywood to get the job done right!
