South Burlingame NET recently needed to move its Supply Box. They also decided to redistribute their supplies.

In 2016, founding Team Leader Jeff Israel, on the top photo, organized a grant for the supplies, and a discontinued BEECN Box. It was installed in a Team Member’s yard near their Staging Area. She recently decided to update her yard, and needed the box removed.

The new distribution plan is to divide supplies among storage bins, to be kept at Team Members’ houses around the neighborhood. Each box will hold an identical collection of First Aid supplies. A Central box will hold larger items, like Mega Movers, and lanterns for the Staging Area. It will stay at a Team Member’s house near the Staging Area.

We will maintain inventories on all items, including those that can expire and need to be replaced.

Team Leader Marissa Wolfheart writes: We can use the Velcro labels that we got a couple of years ago. On one side is a map of the neighborhood that we can mark with color coded pins to track where the groups are moving. On the other side is a list of the active groups with their name tags in one section and a list of people that are ready to deploy or unavailable to help the leader keep track. He used masking tape to add names of SUV's in order to keep the groups all together. We talked about updating this to be a magnetic dry erase board to make it even more note friendly and easier to use.
