#Repost @brendonburchard with @get_repost ・・・ STOP feeling guilt for wanting MORE. That desire is not a bad thing. Honor that ambition or hope or vision or need. The TRICK, though, is to also APPRECIATE what you have, right here, right now, with full awareness and depth. Not “sort of” appreciate now, but full on gratitude and awe and thankfulness for what you have NOW. Then, as you do strive for more, you can strive from a place of real joy and power, not tiny needs, but a full heart. A full and grateful heart is an unstoppable FORCE. It allows you to “strive satisfied” as a full human versus a selfish “needy clod” (I can’t remember who zip quote for that “needy clod” phrase but always laugh when I see it.) There’s this myth that you always have to be dissatisfied as you chase your dreams bc: A) that’s just stupid because who wants to feel dissatisfied their whole lives - what they really mean is to deeply care about excellence they just have never done the homework on human psychology to understand this important difference, and: (B) the world’s largest study of high performers clearly show they work not from a place of dissatisfaction but from a place of passion and happiness. They are in flow, and happy as they strive versus an angry curmudgeon. Anyone who tells you otherwise is speaking from their personal believe not any data on how the majority of successful people actually operate in real life and validated studies. It’s a choice: feel crappy as you chase your dreams or feel happy. You might arrive at the same destination, but at least you enjoyed the journey. I say, HAVE GREAT AMBITIONS and chase them with a joyous heart AND deeply feel this day and be GRATEFUL for what you do have and who you are now. You can do both. Humans have the immense capacity for both. So let’s go #teamhpx ! Tag a friend and let’s go Day 6 Transformation Week starts today!
