im about to engage in some bike race ranting, so prepare yourself.

my teammate really struggled on the hills of our ttt yesterday and mentioned something today about how i "took off" on her. im sorry, i know we were taking it easy because we were the only team in our cat and we were both tired but i wasnt taking off on the hills. i can only go so slow before my knees start to hurt. and going up some of those hills at 7-8mph was just ridiculous. i tried to hang back so you could keep on my wheel, but you just couldnt stay on. and then today after i told you i couldnt go any slower up the hills, you said i had an advantage because i have a triple and you have a compact crank. um, i dont know what bike youve seen me ride, but i definitely dont have a triple and i too have a compact crank. so im not faster than you on hills because i have a granny gear. i live in texas, i dont need a granny gear. i know you are a stronger in most aspect of road riding, but i really appreciate that instead of admitting the fact that im a stronger climber, you tried to blame it on some gear advantage i must have. if anything you have the advantage, your bike is wayyyyy lighter than mine, like atleast 4 pounds lighter. i dont even care about road, but now im determined to forever be a better climber than you.

i was actually embarrassed crossing the line because it took us so long to get there.
