I’ve seen so many mentions of Paxton helping her at both parties, when Ben just stood there. And I agree, it was kind that he took her to the hospital when she got bit by the coyote and helped her out of the pool when she fell in and took her home. But what really moved me was when he asked her. He asked her why she got close to the coyote and she told him the truth, as insane as it may sound. He validated her and showed compassion. In the car he asked her if she was okay after the fight with her friends, she opens up again and even though she thinks the silence means he thinks she’s weird, you can see on the look of his face that he really cares and he’s not tired of her.

THIS, among other stuff, is why I’ve been Team Paxton since season 1. His emotional intelligence is so sexy

I think Paxton was always there for Devi no matter which circumstances at the end he did the right thing and Ben is so ignorant and arrogant going out with girls thinking he deserves devi back like for what?

I randomly just realized this. When Devi spread rumors about them hooking up (when they didnt) Paxton was hurt/offended and felt used. “I thought we were friends but you were just USING ME ” that literally shows, PAXTON WOULD NEVER USE DEVI TO LOOK COOL. Imo, most of the viewers took the  “I come out of it looking cool” in the wrong way. When she got mauled by the coyote, he literally LEAPED foward to help her. When she fell in the pool, EVERYONE JUST LAUGHED, he ran to help her again. If he actually tried to look cool they might have shown scenes where Paxton was being praised for saving devi but  they didnt.

Paxton “No”.

Me in my head- “ Devi you know good and well that boy did not come over too study.” 🤦‍♀️

Series #1 Never Have I Ever

After my netflix hiatus, this was the first series that I have binge watch. Let me share my thoughts.

1. I have enjoyed watching this. It hadd shown so much about growing up especially if you are an Asian and nerd. It shouts youth and freedom. All the desperations and frustrations.

2. It included a tackle of culture. I appreciated that they use an Indian to be the main cast and how she portrays the struggle of being a Hindu in an American setting. I just hope they give emphasis on the Hindu culture and not making American as superior one ( the living the dreams stuff)

3. I love the message of friendship it wanted to convey. It makes us appreciate of who are there for us in all the ups and downs of life. Plus, it gives us realization that we are not the center of the universe.

4. The story of family and how we stick together no matter what.

5. PAXTON HALL YOSHIDA is the gift. Some may not like him but I love him. I feel like he's the man. He was there with Devi when everyone is making fun of her. He follows the bro code dude.

6. Somehow, it advocates about children with special need thru Paxton's lil sis, that they are normal like us too. They can shine.

I love the fact that during the day she wore that outgoing hot “Indian Kardashian”-outfit but when she asked Paxton to have sex she just wore her normal sweats. Like no, she doesn’t have to dress up to convince him, she just goes as herself and with confidence. Yes girl!

How do you think the daxton relationship will proceed in season 3? Do you think they will make benvi endgame?

Thank you for the question! Sorry I’m answering so late, took a small break from socials. I have thought a lot about this and just recently I saw we get a season 3, so excited!!! Anyway, here are my spontaneous thoughts:

I think the writers want to be unpredictable. So simply giving Benvi an endgame this season I don’t think will happen. I do think Devi and Paxton get to explore the relationship a bit. I think definitely we will get sex and I think we’ll see struggles with Paxton’s friends, I am hoping to see a real date and to meet each other’s parents. I’m thinking maybe the crazy Devi part will blow up for Paxton, not sure if it will lead to an actual breakup, but could lead to a pause. At that point I think Ben and Devi could have moments, I think it would be interesting if Devi then realizes that even if they have more in common academically, she realizes she wants Paxton because they are a better match, but ultimately she decides to be alone. So they could tease that Ben would be endgame sort of. Then I am thinking Paxton is trying to win her back again and she says “I can’t be with you anymore, nothing you say can change that”, then Paxton says “I love you” - the end and we await season 4 for what Devi will respond 😉 What do you guys think?
