On a whim l decided to strip down my Casati and whack the parts on an old Raleigh frame l've had lying around for ever. The Casati did fit me and the Raleigh doesn't, but the point is moot when you never ride either, and l figure if it doesn't fit that's a much better reason to not feel like l'm neglecting it.
