I've always admired how outgoing my baby sister Quanetta McQueen is. She's the kinda of person that walks in a room and jumps right in. The kinda of person who will just pull her camera out and start snapping away. I mean literally she does that. She walks around and from person to person she goes snapping away. She always says I'm not going to miss one moment. At our last gathering, I watched her move through the crowd careful not to miss one beat. As I'm watching her from a distance Holy Spirit said to me "Take the picture Robyn, take the picture!" You see I realized in that moment that I'd failed to make memories out of every moment given. So I started an initiative within myself "Take the picture Robyn" or in other words make the most of every moment! Shaking I walked over to a complete stranger (whom I'd greeted as the conference began) and said my phone had died but I'm purposing to catch every moment. Can you take a picture of us and send it to me? The young lady thought I wanted her to take a picture of me and preceeding to do so. Everything in me cringed. I don't like taking full body shots. I quietly yet screaming on the inside said no I want to take a picture with you! She looked shocked and we preceded to "take the picture" Two things happened. 1. I met a new friend Heeeeyyyyy Michelle Lee! This interaction forced me out of my introvertedness and allowed for the exchanging of contact numbers effortlessly. 2. The first shot, the shot I cringed about allowed me to see me.... I've got a snatched waist y'all... Tee Hee he he. When you live with yourself you see yourself all the time which sometimes hinders you from seeing you. Sometimes we spend so much time and energy celebrating those we love that we forget to take that same finger of love and turn it towards us and celebrate ourselves. Lately I'd been feeling like there had been no progress. Like why am I going through all this... And BAM because I decided to step out of my comfort zone and "Take the picture" I gained a beautiful new sister and discovered that my journey deserves to be celebrated and is worth "Taking the picture" #Winning #ILoveThisPlace #BeingBEaUtiFUL #TeamRobynRocks (at Covenant Love Church)
