Cerebral Palsy: A Story… Being Beautiful ‘Excerpt’

Being beautiful isn’t just about a beautiful face, or a beautiful body, or what’s in the eyes of the beholder. Beauty comes from the mind, beauty is etched on our souls, and reveals itself in our actions toward others.

Below are some ways you can work on being beautiful from the inside out:

Be grateful for what you have rather than what you’d like to have;

Learn to accept what you have and your life in its entirety;

Keep your thoughts grounded;

Accept your lessons, they are there to help you grow;

Find time to sit and concentrate on yourself so that you can regroup your thoughts;

Learn to see the good in everyone;

Practice compassion, empathy, tolerance and patience;

Learn to meditate;

Don’t judge, pass an opinion, or be critical of others just because you’re hurting;

Learn to accept your flaws;

Stop being angry, bitter or malicious towards someone else.

Being beautiful inside and out and being happy with ourselves will allow us to focus on others more positively.

Learn to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and ask yourself, if the way you’re treating others, is the way you would want others to treat you.

Folks, it can be hard work being beautiful!😉 We’ve got a bit of a construction project going on in front of the shop this week. While it’s underway, we’re briefly back to pickup curbside or delivery door side, and we’ve got a temporary parking lot picnic area too.
