My sister in law made some bomb ass food! So grateful for her, she’s the best Father’s Day gift my brother has gotten his hands on. #yes #teamsara #byejoe #bahaha #sisters (at Odessa, Florida)
TW: #transphobia This is a major reason I hate the women’s march. I’m sure there are nice people with nice intentions in these marches but there are also sacks of shit like this person here. These spaces are portrayed as “safe” and “welcoming” but in fact they can be just as dangerous, if not more so, than typical hetero/cis spaces. I don’t really believe in safe spaces anymore, meaning I don’t feel safe in places that say they are trans friendly / queer friendly / aren’t racist / don’t stigmatize mental health / believe survivors of abuse of all types. I’ve let my guard down and become vulnerable in spaces that advertise themselves as such and I can tell you it hurts more so than being rejected and disrespected in the hetero/cis world. I know there are assholes everywhere, but when they’re a member of your community (that is already getting shit from society at large) its a special type of hurt. I’m thankful for my friends, chosen family, and some of my actual family that provide the support, love, comfort, encouragement, and validation that these environments fail to provide. It’s easy to feel hopeless and alone and forgotten when institutions/marches/movements actively exclude you, but having even a handful of wonderful humans that are on #teamsara truly make a difference. We are going to get through this. It’s going to hurt, and it’s definitely not going to get better overnight, but everyday we stay alive is a success. Everyday that we get out of bed, we eat, we shower, we challenge ourselves, love ourselves, nurture ourselves is a success. #transisbeautiful #genderqueer #medicatedandmighty #ptsd

relay for life has always been a really tough event but now this year, for me, it's going to be so different. Cancer sucks. Everything about it and it's still surreal that people who are so young have to deal with it😓💪🏽💜
