On the way home from the latest adventures of LeKhoo, I asked Tom to put on some music from my phone. It started off with a Taylor Swift song and it dawned upon me that we were listening to the Backseat Ballads greatest hits compilation. I had been working on a playlist of all the songs that evoke a certain memory of our camps/adventures/gatherings: whether it'd be theme songs for the many camps we've been on, certain songs that go off at house parties and specific periods in the last few years. I don't think Tom would have realised but I was feeling mad sentimental as we were singing out loud to all these classics that we don't play as much anymore. It's nearly the five year anniversary soon and it's really hitting home how much has happened in that time.
