#TheVoiceNigeria: Watch Highlights from Conclusion of the Battle Rounds The Battle rounds of The Voice Nigeria Season 2 came to a close yesterday as 5 talents went through to the live shows as well as two steals.

The second season of The Voice Nigeria will premiere on Sunday, June 18. Contestants for this year’s show were selected at auditions which took place in April in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Lagos. Singer Yemi Alade recently joined the trio of Timi Dakolo, Patoranking and Waje as a judge on the music talent show. Alade replaced 2baba Idibia on the judges’ list. IK Osakioduwa, popular show anchor and Stephanie Coker will return as hosts of the show. Since its launch in 2010, The Voice has gone on to win audiences in countries like the US, Australia and the UK, where renowned artistes have occupied the show’s famous red chairs as coaches. The Voice Nigeria deploys the same format, including a panel of four coaches who critique the contestants’ performances. A’rese, who was in #TeamWaje, emerged winner of the first season. The Voice Nigeria airs on Africa Magic Showcase on channel 151 and Africa Magic Urban on Channel 153 by 7pm. The second season of The Voice Nigeria has a total of 17 episodes.
