It was past 7pm, and I was at class with my students. I haven't eaten yet; everyone at home knows I just eat snacks before my class and have dinner after. I was suprised that my mom opened the room in the middle of my class, handing me a bowl of takeout food from Chowking. It was a simple gesture but maaaan, I held back my tears until I dismissed class at 8pm. I didn't realize how much stressed I am until that moment. I thought I was already okay after all the events the past weekend, but I was wrong. And now I'm tearing up eating this bowl of food while I'm reviewing my lecture that I'll be recording. October 2020 is not yet done but I can already say that it is a month to remember. A lot has happened, from mourning to simple celebrations, but I'm grateful that through it all, my family was with me. It was worth the time sacrificed and money spent (and tasks I procrastinated 😅).
