Black Clover Ep1-2 I always love an underdog cliché, the main protag initially has no amasing talent or ability that out shines any other characters with said abilities, but gets an ability or power that gives them an upperhand you see this in so many anime like, Naruto, My Hero Academia, Highschool DxD, JoJo Part 1, Kill la Kill, and Re:ZERO, the reason I'm referencing these anime is because an audience will always relate to the underdogs in some way or form which generally makes the audience fall in love with the show to some degree. But... I don't feel like this rule of thumb applies to this anime for me, I feel no love or relation to the main character Asta, I'm not saying he is a bad character I'm saying that I can't find much sympathy for him, sure it's sad that he is an orphan and lives in a world where everyone has a power that he doesn't have or can't use very well, making him a laughing stock, but other anime have done it better like My Hero Academia, and Naruto. I admit I'm being a bit unfair to the character only after 2 episodes and I hope the series proves me wrong because I want to enjoy the anime I watch, because even horrible anime (not calling this anime horrible) have things you can take away from it that you're glad to experience. Overall I'm entertained with the the show and will be continuing watching the series, I will admit I can't wait to see what Asta can do with his power and why he has the 5 leaf clover grimoire. *cough* #TeamYuno #BlackClover #anime #manga #crunchyroll #supernatural #magic #underdog #asta #yuno
